Side Socket SideSocket - Gigantic Shipping & Handling Ripoff!! , Internet
Saw TV advertisement for SideSocket and the ubiquitous buy one, get one free, paying only shipping and handling for the second one. I went online, chose their specialized model for $12.95 and ordered two sets (buy one / one free ) x 2. When I got to the checkout page, the "shipping and handling charges" totaled some $63.96. (The total weight of this order was about one lb.) As this was a Sunday, I had to wait until the following morning. Called at 08:30AM Eastern Time to CANCEL this order (there was no way to go back during order process) and was told it was too late - the order had SHIPPED! Only option was to 'refuse' the order when it arrived and they would credit me upon receipt. Well, my total charge of $141.56 showed up on my credit card and, today, my next credit card statement showed a refund of $77.96. Net COST to me was the noted above cost of $63.96. THIS.....is not RIGHT!!!!
