I ordered this vacuum off TV as a gift for my daughter whose wedding was fast approaching. The Ad stated buy one vacuum, get one free; and get 1 free steamer... The Vacuum looked like a great buy, I would get one for my daughter, one for me and a free steamer.

When the vacuums arrived they sent 4 vacuums and no steamer. I called the company to ask how to send back the 2 unwanted vacuums and find out why they did not send the steamer. That time I actually got through to a person who told me that they didn't know how I should go about sending the unwanted vacuums back and that I could only get the "free" steamer if I paid $119.00 for the attatchment package. They said that someone would contact me regarding the return of the unwanted vacuums on August 12th.

At this point, I was still excited about the purchase and decided to try one of the vacuums out. After only 10-15 minutes of use, the motor died. Stone Cold Dead...

August 12th came and went with me waiting by the phone and surprise, surprise.... NO CALL.

Since then, We have sent three e-mails which were all answered by auto response messages promissing that we would be contacted by a representative, and all three times... NO CALL, NO E-MAIL, NO NOTHING.

We know that they are recieving the e-mails because a FedEx truck showed up with orders to pick up the two unwanted vacuums. I sent all 4 back. Still no word about reimbursement.

I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission and my local TV news station which has a segment about consumer protection. I could not contact the Better Business Bureau because Singer very conveniently did not enclose the zip code of their address, which the B.B.B. requires to file a claim.

On my bank statements, whenever Singer withdraws money for the purchase, (which has been RETURNED)they include an incomplete telephone number so that offers no new way to contact them.

I am at the end of my rope with these people. They have no concept of customer service. They are impossible to get hold of and they are taking money out of my bank account which I should have to buy my daughter and her new husband a Wedding gift. (The wedding has come and gone by the way). Who ever said we should file a law suit is on the right track! I want in if a lawsuit is filed. We can't let this company do this to anyone else!

Recieved refund check.....IGIA, Tactica, Singer Lazer Storm Vacuum

Today is 6/13/06. In the mail I recieved a check from a company called; Tactica International, INC. Refund Account 16 East 40th ST.12th Floor New York, New York 10016 No Letter was enclosed, no explaination of why I was being sent this check. Just a check in an envelope addressed to me. So My daughter went on line and googled the company. Turns out Tactica IS IGIA, IS Singer Lazer Storm Vacuums. I have to go to my files and figure out if the amount refunded is actually owed to me. If not then the battle begins anew. Even if I have been refunded the full amount I am owed it is not enough. I deserve an explaination as to WHY they kept over $300.00 of my money for nearly a year when I had returned the merchandise that was shipped incorrectly and DIDN"T EVEN WORK!!! Why they never returned a call or email with anything but a standard "we have recieved your letter" reply. If you are dealing with this Company you know what I am referring to...
