After my free trial of Sirius expired on my new car, Sirius called me to sell me a package.  (My satellite reception is horrible and I rarely used Sirius when it was free.)  I agreed to a 6 month trial for $25 only if they agreed to NOT keep my card on file and to request authorization for renewal by mail or email.  The salesman agreed, and I suspected he was lying, but went for it anyway. 

At 6 months my card was charged $97.81.  My card was charged on the first day of my credit card cycle, Sept 18th.  I received my credit card statement October 24th, and I cancelled service and requested a full refund Oct 25th. They told me they would refund my card and cancel my service. 

One month later my credit card still had not been credited.  I called back and was told that the refund request was hanging out there waiting for final approval, but that they would be sure to process the request now.  They told me that they would only credit me $77.82 because I had waited a month to cancel my service and therefore could rightfully charge me for the month that I used their service. 

I disputed this.  After extensive arguing the poor tech said he would submit a request for full refund, but again, that they really didn't have to and that they would issue a credit that may take 7 to 10 days to process. 

At that point, I just went ahead and contacted my credit card company to report a fraudulent charge and ask for a reversal. I should have done this initially, after going on line and reading the horror stories and abuse rendered by this company.
