Skype Communication 2 Charges totaling almost $130.00 , Internet
Yesterday, I was checking my bank account and noticed 2 unauthorized charges from Skype Communications one for $74.99 and the other for $54.99. I have to wait for them to post to my bank account before I can file any sort of claim, and who knows when that is going to be. The transactions were done on Thursday 9/20 and it's 9/24 and they still haven't posted. Needless to say my debit card was cancelled.
The last time I even tried to Skype was back in March, and I never gave them my debit card information, and it didn't even work for me properly. To make matters worse, the bank I was using back in March isn't even the same bank I am using now. I have no idea how my debit card information was even compromised. The account is only a month old and the debit card has only been active for about 3 weeks.
Would love to know how to go about making Skype accountable for this. On their website the only way they are accountable is if it was done with a major credit card. If it was a debit card used, you have to go thru your bank to get refunded. They should be shut down for the amount of fraud I've been reading about from other people.
