Slim Easy Pro / Genix Diet Very Deceptive Glendale California
I recieved an email with an offer for a product that was a diet shake with very few carbs. On the website in big bold letters it shows the TV symbols for CNN, abc, and CBS which makes it look like they have endorsed or done a piece on this product.(Problem is when you try to print the page the TV names disappear.)
They offer 15 slim shakes plus Adkins bars for $4.99 which is shipping and handling, what you don't notice is that you are automaticaly signed up as a member(The page you sign up on only has a box with a check mark, you can not click on it to read terms, at the bottom of a white page in gray is a place to click on terms) and if you don't call and cancel your membership within 20 days from the DATE you PLACE your order then they automatically charge you $88.97.
Mind you I have not recieved any other products. The free shake they sent me was a powder in a 3 oz container with no free bars and no information that says you are a member. I contacted them at the 1-866-360-1477 only to be told by George that I would have to email [email protected] to request a refund and that I was past my 20 days because I placed my order Jan 14,2009 but it does not matter that I did not even recieve the one item until 1/21/2008. Very Deceptive if you ask me. How can I cancel a product I have not even recieved or tried for that matter? I Goggled genix diet/slim Shake and found 9 complaints against them in only one blog titled genix diet/ slim shake Complaints - deceptive marketing.
So now I am stuck here waiting for a refund I most likely will not recieve and all 9 of the people that placed their complaint on this website had to cancel their credit cards and get new ones because the company continued to charge them even after they called raising cane. Beware!
