SmartsavingsCenter Hotmoviesales A Total Nest of Thieves. They Belong in Jail. Boca Raton Florida
On December 19, 2008 I attempted to order a DVD (Chuck Close) from Amazon.com. They directed me to another vendor, Hotmoviesales.com, who informed me that they could fill the order, but not right away. Since Amazon.com vouched for this company, and I had done business with Amazon hundreds of times, I assumed Hotmoviesales was a reputable vendor. Was I ever wrong. After sending me multiple e-mails informing me that the DVD in question was on back order, they finally told me that they could not fill the order. However, what they could do was charge my credit card $29.95 per month. Obviously, when I saw this charge on my credit card statement (actually SmartsavingsCenter.com) I freaked.
I called them and spoke to a woman named Angeline on February 19, who canceled my account, but the initial $29.95 charge remained. I have been going back and forth my credit card company, Amazon.com, who have been no help whatsoever, and of course smartsavingsCenter who told me "there was nothing to be done." I promised the woman I spoke with that I will hound these maggots to the ends of the earth, and to that end, I contacted the Florida Better Business Bureau, who have already given this outfit an "F" rating, and the Broward County District Attorney's Office. I urge you all to do the same.
