I did a payday loan with Sonic Payday a couple or so years back. They did send some information to my then employer demanding the balance. The company I used to work for went ahead and paid it without asking me first and deducted the amount they paid to Sonic from my paycheck. Is there any way I can get my money back from my ex-employer? Did they break any laws when they did this? Isn't a demand like the one Sonic Payday made considered a third party communication and thus violates the Fair Credit Act? Thanks for any help.

1) Teletrack is not one of the big 3 credit reporting bureaus. I believe that they just provide info to retailers as to whether to accept your check or not. Also, I'm not quite sure a bounced can even be reported to the credit bureaus. 2) Contacting your employer payroll departmant is a worthless threat. Your pay can only be garnished by court order. Your employer will just blow them off until then.
