After having good payment history on my auto loan with source one financial in Norwell,ma. i began to have some financial difficulties stemming from my bank and the order in which they deducted items from account putting larger withdrawals first and smaller withdrawals at the end causing over drafts consistantly and which i couldn't afford. also source one had a few times taken from my account even though i called and told them not to and caused my account to really get behind. so i closed my bank account.
I told source one my account was closed to no longer withdraw or attempt to withdraw because there is no more account to withdraw from. this was over a month ago. i did fall behind and caught payments up (so i thought) by sending payments via money gram.
I am at the end of my loan process owing only $1,033. on my vehicle. I get a notice in the mail that i am behind to send payment or else they will repossess my vehicle. so i call source one and ask for crystal marshall who's name was on the letter. I asked her how was i behind when i just sent a payment? so she looked up my account and said they did get that payment but i am still behind $51 and some change. so i asked her how am i behind with the last demand letter i received it asked for over $300 and i sent in close to $500. Crystal told me we weren't discussing the last letter it had nothing to do with the current letter.
I said it does because i paid more than the amount asked for. Crystal refused to listen to me or let me really talk and told me that i was behind still the $51 and change due to insufficient funds and the companys inability to withdraw from my account. I asked how can you charge me insufficient funds if you haven't taken from an account because there is no account to take from. Crystal tried telling me the computer only puts a hold for so long on withdrawing from accounts ad it kicks back in. I don't tell her this but now i know she is a liar because 1.) if they attempted to take from my account at the time, the bank said because it was an auto withdraw authorization my account would have automatically opened back up which it did not. 2.) when i called the bank there were no attempts at withdrawal but yet source one is charging me insufficient fund fees.
I then asked Crystal so how it was i am being charged for insufficient funds if no account to take from and even with fees i paid well over amount asked for in prior notice it should have covered it clearly. Crystal then said miss why are you yellin? if you continue to yell i'm gonna hang up. I was not yelling..maybe raised my voice out of frustration but was clearly not yelling. So i then said to her listen, if you continue to charge me insufficient fund fees after i told you guys over and over not to attempt to withdraw from that account, i will take you to court. Crystal then said to me that if i threaten her she is hanging up. i then informed her it was not a threat but a promise.i hung up.
I then called back and got sue who i asked for crystal marshall's supervisor and she connected me to heather. heather was very polite, and at least gave me a chance to explain myself and listened. she told me i am at the end of my loan so she won't be a stickler about having a bank account but when i applied i guarenteed an account to withdraw from and now i don't have an account.she told me she was gonna remove from the computer my bank info etc and there should no longer be any insufficient fund fees attached to my account. she told me to continually pay through money gram preferably every week but every two is ok too. She also infromed me that i have had two repossesion letters sent out and once i get a third after that if i fall behind they no longer had to notify me they could just come out and repossess. To top it all off the dealer i bought this car from closed a month after i got the car and guarenteed me the car title would be in my name after going to another dealer that wouldnt allow it because i was disabled and needed an employer...so i went to this dealer cause he said no problem i just needed a co-sighner. well,i am the co-sighner from source one records and my co-sighner is the owner and title holder when payed off. wish i had the extra funds to pay source one off because i am done with car loans!

First off, this lender is a subprime (deadbeat) operation. You didn't have "financial problems"...you gave yourself massive overdraft fees because you don't keep written records of your checking account usage nor an on-going running balance. All you did is check the on-line balance which is NEVER accurate because the bank can only account for whatever debits the merchant submits and not before its submitted. YOU used money which would have covered outstanding debits rather than properly managing your account by subtracting those amounts as you used the card or wrote the check. People who run up overdraft fees do so for only that reason. Don't blame the bank for your non-existent account management. They lender did a repo because of YOUR self imposed delinquency. When you failed to pay or paid late, YOU ran up extra interest and fees. All of this could have been avoided by proper management of your checking account.
Let me save you some effort. Don't bother writing back, "you must work for them" because I don't!
