Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

A couple of years ago I decided to go back to school and found SNHU.EDU and called for more information. The high-pressure "admissions counselor" convinced me it was the perfect opportunity. I completed the admissions paperwork, contacted my student loan lender and had them pay SNHU for my tuition.

I was taking classes and the class was going ok, however, I had a major life event and missed a couple of assignments. I reached out to my academic advisor to tell her I wanted to drop the class. She was unavailable and I had to leave a voicemail. The next day, I contacted my instructor and told him the same thing. The instructor told me that I would have to speak to my advisor and I would have to do it immediately because the last day to drop was rapidly approaching. Because she was unavailable, I reached out to admissions counselor that enrolled me. Also, unavailable, I left her a message.

Two days later, my advisor called me and told me that I had missed the day by 2 days and that I would have to continue the class. I told her that was impossible and that I had no other recourse. She told me to try my best and see what would happen. I attended as I could and could not get the professor to work with me. It was a very trying time as my grandmother was dying and I was continuing to care for her, in a town without reliable internet.

I struggled through and unfortunately, failed the class. After I withdrew from school completely, my loan provider contacted me and said that I would have to start repaying the loans. I saw the loan for SNHU and began making payments. Shortly after my first payment, I received an invoice from SNHU. I called to see if there was a mistake. According to them, they returned all the money from the loan to the lender. The lender has no record of this. They told me that I would have to pay them or they would not release my transcripts and they would report me to the credit bureaus. They have.

I continue to fight with them, but they are relentless. Meanwhile, I am paying my student loans as best I can, but I have a $2774.00 hit as a collection on my credit. It seems there is nothing I can do.

Please be aware!  They are scam artists!  I wish I would have known about RipOffReport.com before making the worst decision of my life!

This is not a scam issue, this is how colleges work

You can't drop out after a certain day, no matter what. I am sorry what happened to you. I have also had it happen to me. Unless you get past the halfway mark in a semester, you can't even apply for an extension.

This is not a scam, all colleges are exactly the same.
