I worked for this company for a long time, almost 10 years. I finally quit after I was lied to on many occasions and removed from a dedicated run amid complaints from some high ranking officials within the company that I wasn't doing my job to the effect that they had hoped. I brought to their attention that without me, their dedicated/local run would be in shambles without individuals such as myself looking out for their equipment(trailers), or their drop yard. Over the last few years, a number of dispatchers had increasingly become not very good people oriented, causing a number of drivers to quit over a dispatchers stupidity. Rodney Reed, Greg Brown, Brian Pope listen to their drivers, but when a load is late due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a breakdown, or weather, they blame the driver for being late. Many drivers have quit over these individuals. When complaining to safety about these dispatchers actions, Tim and Jennifer Barton are completely useless. I even had 1 of these dispatchers try to retaliate against me for reporting them. The average length of haul for SRT isn't 1200 miles, but more like 500 miles. You have to pressure your dispatcher constantly, or remain an A-status driver- meaning, no complaints, no late deliveries- to get loads that are 1200 or greater in length such as 2500 mile, coast to coast runs. The shop is the worst I have ever seen. Prepare to sit for 3-4 days while waiting for a simple repair that could be taken care of at a truck stop.SRT would rather have you sit and lose money sitting at their terminal for days on end, rather for the truck to be fixed at a TA or Petro. They aren't a very good team freight company. I was turned down for a team position with my loved one because we weren't married! This is discrimination! They have have gay/l*****n teams, but can't have straight teams. They always changed the subject when the matter was brought up, or simply didn't know anything about it. Be very wary driver, heed these warnings. If you get the job, watch out. A few people I know, nearly lost everything due to their not making any money.
