Spa Malia fraudulent ripoff business consumer rip-off Tampa Florida
I thought Spa Malia was a reputable salon, I bought a gift certificate valued over $250.00 for my mother as a christmas present to spend a day at the Spa. she called to make an appt and had to cancell due to an illness in the family, when she tried to call them back a few weeks later no one would answer the phone, she attempted calling them for a couple of weeks and still no answer.
My mother lives in Ocala so its not right around the corner for her, but she made a trip this way and decided she would go see what the deal was with them, to our supprise the building was not open and the guard that was there told her she needed to contact Eric Sydell which is the news achor guy and report this,apparently they where closed due to an illnes in their family. No one ever called us to offer a refund or told us they where not going to be opening, as far as I can tell they have closed, for how long I have no idea.
I suggest to everyone that if they do open there doors again DO NOT GO THERE. Evidently they are not very proud of their company, I am very upset about this because this was a gift to my mom who has never been able to enjoy it. They are a toal ripoff!!!! and ran with the monies they collected from their patrons.We are not in May and still no answer from Spa Malia.
