Speakeasy Inc. Terrible service. Terrible support. Seattle, Washington
We have had the worst possible experience with Speakeasy service. If you're considering them for your house or business, I strongly, strongly advise against it. My company signed with them several months ago and it's been nothing but problems.
Setup took months longer than they promised, and now internet black-outs happen multiple times a week for us (there have actually been days where our whole company just sat around, unable to use the web, make calls or do anything). We're a web-based company, so we lose tens of thousands of dollars in revenue every time the internet crashes. It's super stressful for everybody... We have pleaded with Speakeasy for help and they've been completely unresponsive.
And it gets even worse.. they have run the gamut of excuses, from "bad wiring" in our building to "3rd party providers" (even though our previous provider had no problems whatsoever), and now they even have the nerve to blame us, the customer. Yesterday they tried to say there must be "a virus" disrupting our service, but that's impossible because the problems persist even when every single computer is shut down!
We are at our breaking point, and that's saying a lot since we've been patient and understanding with them for months now. We actually trusted them when they said they'd take care of us. We even canceled with our previous provider early (and paid a huge fee for that, by the way) to sign up with Speakeasy, thinking our internet would finally approve. We were wrong on all accounts. Now we're looking at yet another cancellation fee to discontinue service with the worst internet provider in history.
Stay away from Speakeasy, they are shadier than you would believe.
