I will tell you why this company does not want you to contact law enforcement on drive offs. They are afraid of getting sued. When I had a drive off when I worked for them I called the police any way. I even told my DM flat out if I get any drive offs I would contact the police. I don't care what thier policy was and if I could not see the vehicle I would not turn on the pump . I also had binoculars so I could get the tag # incase I had a drive off. When I got the tag# I called the police and reported the gas theft. When I got written up I refused to sign them . I got so fed up with this company I told my manager F---you and walked out. They do not know how to treat thier employees.

ia am also an ex employee of speedway superamerica. i was with the company over 22 years. i had an appriasal in may and was written up in june and for not controlling drive offs. you are not allowed to call the police for any drive offs. iwas demoted from amnager to a shift leader 2 in july and terminated in sept. i was demoted because i allowed my employees to pay full price for the pop they got in the deli and then pay refil price when they refilled the same cup. the district managers office was aat my store and the former district manager would pay for his coffee and then later come out of his office and get another coffee and hand the cashier 1.00 and say this is a refill. i guess there are different policies for dms. i have asked the company if there are different policies for dms and have never been given an answer. when i was demoted there was no one there from human resources. when i was terminated i asked for my own witness and was told the store manager was a witness. sure she was a witness...for the dm. when i asked for my own, i was told that if i didn't have someone that i could use right then that i was suspended for 3 days till i got one. i chose to use a cashier that was knew and i trusted him. i was told that i sold beer right after 1 am and i was terminated from the company. at my store i always loced the cooler doors at 1 if i had to work 3rd shift. this store did not lock the doors. the state was not involved,it was an accident because i did not work 3rd every time i worked and was not accustomed to the hours or the store. i am 53 years old. another manager 53 was fired 1 month after me and a cashier i had was fired. she was 53. seems there is a problem with 53?
