My wife and I were contacted by Spinnaker Resorts in Branson, Mo concerning a timeshare. We were told that if we would come to Branson for a weekend we would recieve our lodging free of charge. Also if we would attend a 90 minute presentation we were guaranteed to win either a 2005 Ford Explorer, an 8 day Cruise or a 27 inch color television.ALL of this is in writing. The next day we recieved another letter from them via USPS that if we attended we were to be given a $1000.00 free internet shopping spree.

We attended,a 3 and 1/2 hour sales pitch and finally when we said no to this must sign now approach. We were abruptly taken to a checkout station, given a card for the shopping spree and cruise. The shopping spree is not free. You have to pay 10 percent above wholesale for the dollar store items and they cloak this cost as P&D (processing & delivery)

This was and is just a scam to get our names on the dotted line for a $23,000.00 timeshare that hasn't even been completed.

People be very very aware when dealing with Spinnaker Resorts.

Hi guys! As alot of companies do - Spinnaker purchases "tours" from outside vendors - in this case it was something like Vacation Depot or Beacon Global Services, its the same thing pretty much. We used to have several tours of these type and all of them won the cruise except for maybe 5 won the tv (out of the 2 years i was there). The cruise is cheaper for them because YOU pay everything. read the fine print. The only thing it costs them is the paper it is on. AND they get a kickback because all it is is another tour of another company! On the back of the card is a website you can go to to find the "stats" of the winners. I dont know how true it is because I went there once and there were 4 people who had won the Explorer, and they all were from Kansas, and 3 were from the same town! how odd s that? In fact, the ones they were using this year expired 12-2006, so be sure if you do get one of these, you look at the back fine print first! Dont be surprised if you only get the cruise, as we were prepared to have it waiting on you. I hope this helps. Oh, these were also "free" packages, so remember - you get what you pay for. Good luck in the future!
