Sports Weekend Hockey Tournament hockey tournament is a scam ripoff all profits go to business men who care nothing about running fair tournaments. Cleveland Ohio
I am writing to warn all prospective teams to be leary of these types of tournaments it is run as a Multi million dollar business and all profits go to business men who care nothing about running fair tournaments. In this tournament (If you want to call it that) your team will be constantly pushed all over to find ice. Games are most times rescheduled at the last minute or cancelled alltogether , as was the case with our weekend. There is no on site representive from the "Tournament" at any rink. For the price of this tournament $690 i would reccomend sticking with either local tournaments or memorial type tournaments , run by local hockey organazations that actually care about running fair tournaments.
I will never go back to any "Sport Weekend Tournaments" they hold you hostage to there Hotels (ie. Holiday Inn Strongsville) at inflated prices so they get kick backs from every room sold , again to the Private organizers who reap the profits every single weekend of the hockey season.
Please warn all Managers of teams to avoid these types of tournaments. I have been involved in R.Y.H. for approx. 12 years with 3 children and I know you care about the way your organazation is treated.
