My complaint is not necessarily with Sprint but with 3 other companies that 'slammed' my telephone bill.

On a recent bill I received from Sprint I was alarmed to see nearly $60.00 for 'Other Charges and Usage'. Upon checking the details of the billing statement I discovered entries for 3 companies I was unfamiliar with.

These were:

1) ESBI aka VoiceExpress 1-888-300-3724

2) Intellicom 1-888-296-8079

3)ILD aka SurSafe Internet 1-800-433-4518

My first step was to call Sptint. Their representative told me that my account with Sprint would be noted that I was disputing the 3 mysterious charges. I was also informed the Sprint could not credit my account but that I should contact the companies directly.

I was successfull in my efforts to talk to actual people at each of the listed telephone numbers (as listed above). Each company's representative stated that their companies would issue credits toward my bill with Sprint.

ESBI [VoicXpress] 1-888-300-3724 was finally persuaded to agree to cancel my account with them. They gave me a confirmation reference#.

Intellicom 1-888-296-8079 also was persuaded to cancel my account and said they wouls issue a credit. They would not give me a confirmation number but promised to send a confirming e-mail. I did receive the e-mail within the promised timeframe.

ILD [SurSafe Internet] 1-800-433-4518 also agreeded to cancel my account and did, as promised, send a confirming e-mail.

I have not received a new bill from Sprint to verify if these 3 mysterious new services have actually been cancelled and credits issued.

If and when you talk to these companies you will have to endure long time delays, extended hold times, and even those irritating automated menu schemes. Keep a magazine or newspaper handy to read while they delay your chance to talk to a people [ I know it should be person]

The telephone numbers I have listed worked on 04/24/2006.

Dear John, You handled that one exactly right! Unfortunately these charges are coming from outside Sprint. Sometimes you enter your pcs phone numer into a field on the internet to get a free ringer, sometimes someone has used your phone, sometimes, no matter how hard you try NOT to let your numer get out, you will find yourself unknowingly enrolled in or slammed with these particular charges. Unfortunately, as you found out, there isn't anything Sprint can really do for you but point you back to the charging company. Some of these companies are really unscrupulous and are betting that either: a) you are not reading your entire bill or b) that you'll get so frustrated or just not understand what you need to do they can continue charging you. I have seen this many times. Kudos to you for finding and posting the contact info. Some of these third party companies can be pretty shady and make contacting them a real nightmare. I have one customer I am still trying to get to the bottom of. When I finally did contact the company they swear up and down that they don't even carry the mobile application that she is being charged for, even though I know her money is going to them every month.
