I am writing on behalf of Sprint's breaking my contract then turning me over to collections. They claimed I was not paying them. That was not so. I was making payments. It just wasn't the minimum that they wanted.

As a result, Sprint turned me over to collections - RPM. They said I owed them $900.00 as a result of their canceling my contract. However, RPM told me Sprint was in error, and that I only owed $300+ dollars.

I always thought people were turned over to collections for paying no money at all! That's my understanding of nonpayment. As a result, I couldn't get to my online albums that I had already paid for. I still want my albums.

I was told I could still get them, but when I tried, because Sprint canceled my contract, my user name and password were no longer valid. I just thought I'd air out my frustrations.

Billing issue

Sprint billing works like this (which makes sense to me...). It's ok to make a partial payment for a month, maybe two. But if you keep making partial payments every month, eventually, you're bill will reach a limit where they have to cut you off. If you have a spending limit on your account, and you have a bill that goes longer than 90 day to pay (3 months), then you're account will be suspended. For example, if your bill is $100/month and you pay $20 month, by the 4th month, you'll be in collections. I understand you're making partial payments, but when are you going to finally pay in full? You said it was an error, not $900 but $300+ dollars... $300+ dollars past due? Any company would have turned you off. Not trying to defend Sprint, but pay your bills in full before you complain. Sprint didn't complain when they weren't getting their money in full every month. This goes with any cell phone company. And if a person can't afford their monthly bill, they need to talk less and get a lower plan, or consider a pre-paid service.
