My 2 year Contract was supposed to end on 4/26/07 and I had no intention of renewing contract with them.

About 2 months before that I would receive offers from them if I were to renew contract such as new phones and 50 bonus minutes etc. I just threw them away.

Then I started getting letters thanking me for renewing. I then called Customer-no-service and they stated I called on 3/31/07 and agreed to renew contract for the 50 bonus minutes. I told them I did not agree to renew and this was incorrect. I had only called to pay a bill on that day through the automated service. The CSR told me we dont just automatically renew contracts. I started getting very irritated at this point and said I want proof that I agreed to renew contract for 50 measly minutes a month. They finally agreed to go back to original contract end date.

I kept getting letters Thanking me for renewing and each time I called and had to explain the whole thing while they reviewed call notes.

Well on 4/28/07 I went to T-Mobile and signed a contract with them and had my number ported over which automatically ended contract with Sprint. Well guess what I got yesterday?? A bill from Sprint with a cancellation Fee of $350 (for 2 phones)

So Once again I had to call Sprint while I was put on hold for over 20 minutes. I was able to explain what happened to the CSR without screaming and she stated this will be corrected.

I just cant believe I had to waste so much time because of their poor customer service and horrible computer records.

Laura, I feel like you DEFINITELY need to get this all in writing, and sent to Sprint. Don't let it lie, chase it to the end where you get satisfaction. I think too many people rely upon email and phone calls these days, when in court, the power of a written document, sent via some sort of mail service, has so much weight. Email IS considered, but I don't think it should be as I can easily fabricate ANY EMAIL I LIKE, and I do not understand why the court system seems oblivious to this easily performed feat. You can print out this Ripoff Report, and send it, but I would recommend writing all these details, without emotion, in a separate letter along with the Ripoff Report. I specify without emotion solely because you have a true case of facts to rely on, and expressing your rightful outrage AT THE END of the letter is fine, just laying out the case' itself, just the facts, ma'am', lololol, in the opening and body of the letter, that does help in corporate correspondence. The higher-up you can find someone to contact, the better. The MORE people you send the letter to, the better. Gather any names and addresses, not email addresses ONLY, but addresses, and do the CC: thing at the bottom of the letter with all the names you are sending it to. This sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but to have a collection agency on you about over $400 --- well, my own efforts wouldn't cost me that much, so that is why I think it's worth it, if you choose. If it was $35, that'd be a different story. The power of the pen still holds sway. Also in corporate America there ARE plenty of 'higher ups' who are 'techno-phobic', and do not want to deal with any email stuff. Crazy but true. Good luck, I sure hope to hear you come out on top!

On May 19, I received another bill for $470 after being told that cancellatin fee was being taken care of. I had to call AGAIN and was only hold at least 15 minutes. I had to explain the situation all over ago to someone who spoke poor English. Finally I was able to speak to a supervisor who said bill has been fixed. I am unconvinced that this is correct. Yesterday I contacted the Better Business Bureau. Not sure what else I can do to rectify this situation. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Because Calling Sprint does not seem to work.
