SCI*STAMPS.COM. Watch for this listing on your credit card statement and act promptly!
To add to what others have reported, here's how the scam works: The company charges a recurring monthly fee of $15.99 regardless of whether you use any postage or not. Furthermore, the company even creates duplicate accounts, so instead of one charge of $15.99, TWO charges for this amount will appear! Like others, I did not use any postage AT ALL from their website but was billed for two charges of $15.99!
If you do not call immediately, the same charges will appear the next month! So it's important to ACT PROMPTLY.
SCI*STAMPS.COM will be the wording that appears on your credit card statement. If you see this wording, and did not use the service, IMMEDIATELY call 888-432-0055 and say that you want to CANCEL your account.
BE CAREFUL! The representative told me that I had $40.00 of postage in one of my accounts to discourage me from cancelling. This is another part of the scam. INSIST on closing your account immediately anyway.
