stamps.com Free Trial Becomes Billing & Credit Report NIGHTMARE Internet
Stamps.com is a total ripoff they make themselves appear to be connected to the US Post office
They Offer a "Free Trial" that requires a credit card
They send you a free scale and blank labels for you to print stamps
I signed up and then found out that they were not connected to the US post office. I cancelled the free trial within 1 week after getting their materials and offered to mail all back
they refused and said I could keep the scale for free and that they would not bill my credit card number
They even emailed me a notice stating it was cancelled and that they would not bill me. they started billing me soon after and since there is no way to contact them I had to change my bank account number to keep them from dipping into my bank every month.
They keep sending me bill s every month with a new higher amount that is owed to them and I assure you they are reporting this to the credit companies to force me to pay.
the emails have no phone numer to contact them just the no-reply return address in the email this should be illegal for any company to do this no-reply email robo sending of invoices to people.
do not do any business with them buy stamps at the us post office and save your 15.99 per month
I only signed up becuase paypal sent me a notice about it and I was under the impression I was required to have the service to run my business and paypal shipping services instead it was an advertisement
total rip off and so annoying as you cannot fix it unless you happen to remember the log in information to get into the stamps.com account you opened several months ago and thought was closed so threw the paper away.
if any company says they have a free trial and wants your credit card be forwarned and do not give them your credit card number for any reason close the link and move on to the next project on your list for that day
