Stephen Vicinanza advertised a copyediting job @ roughly 0.40 cents per page. His company, JK IRons (which has a domain but no active website), promised steady work. I was hesitant at first, but edited and delivered roughly $350 back to him. He replied sporadically, promising to pay once the industry pays him, after 30-60-90 days - but nothing. He refuses to reply to emails or requests for payment.
He emails from [email protected] and [email protected]. His linked in is linkedin.com/in/stephen-vicinanza-47283851/
BEWARE all writers and editors of doing business with this guy. He will not pay you, no matter how many times you remind him he is late. He will just give you the runaround, and never pay up.

I had an identical experience to the one already reported for JK Irons/Stephen Vicinanza. I was hired for two separate jobs - editing an index for about $200, and editing a textbook for about $400. I submitted the work on time and never was compensated. I emailed multiple times asking about payment and the few times I even recieved responses, I was told my payment would be sent out at some date in the future, though it never happened.
The most pathetic part about all of this is that it's not even that much money in the grand scheme of things. A company should not have trouble paying out jobs that were valued at 40 cents/page.
DO NOT take work from this person. You will not be paid.
