If I would have seen this years ago when this occurred, I would have responded earlier. This guy is the biggest bozo I have had to deal with in years. I will be contacting my lawyer to determine if there is a slander or libel action that can be brought against "Francis" the owner. My guess is he is out of business....
Yes, I hired them to paint our house. They did not cover anything when they were painting or sanding and kept telling us to not worry about it as they would clean up afterwords. Any sane person knows you cover things when you paint. I even offered to buy the tarps and at one point we covered things on our own and were mocked by the big goon.
It went from bad to worse to the point my wife would not even deal with them. Mind you, the entire time the jerk kept quoting he had a "five star" rating....what that had to to with anything, only his simpleton mind would know. Finally, they finished and my wife told them to come by that night with the final invoice. He never showed up......weeks and weeks went by....not a peep.
Am I to be expected to chase after a person to pay a bill they never gave me....especially after the fiasco during the time they were working.
Fast forward 6 months or so and now I have been served papers for the final bill. Complete lies and BS from beginning to end in his court action.
Now that he is "suing" me, I obtained my own attorney and decided to deduct the broken items caused by C&C....a TV, a bed they tried to move, and other items. Never once did we avoid paying the bill.....it was never presented as he was a big baby and never came back. So now we go to court and guess what.....he loses!!! By lose, I mean he accepted the settlement of the original bill less the costs of the things they broke. So, in the end, he would up being paid about 1/2 of what he would have been paid had he come back at the end of the job to collect the balance. For a guy about 6' 4" and 240 lbs, he was a big baby and in way over his head driving to jobs in his Hummer with paint cans in it and complaining about his wife taking his money all day long every day.
I thought this was long behind us but I am certainly not going to let this stay on the internet ad infinitum without response. Where is C&C Painting of Stratford, NJ today.....more than likely bankrupt because the owner could run a business.

Steve And Eileen Luliwicz refused Certified letters from my company sent through the post office. Not once, not twice but Three times. We have come to the conclusion we need to file a complaint and hire a lawyer.
