Steve Sohn's Jujitsu Concepts Unscrupulous Billing Practices - Avoid At All Costs Scarsdale, New York

This report is in relation to a fitness class I signed up for, but never attended, yet I am continuously billed for it.
I attended a trial class on November 8th, at which point I paid $20 for the trial. After the trial, I decided to sign up for the class since it was the kind of class I was looking for.
During the sign up process, I was never told that if I cancelled my subscription, I would be continuously billed.
On November 12th, I learned that I would be put on a different work schedule, and since I work an hour and a half from the location of the class, the class times did not work for me. Additionally, since I go to school on the weekends, attending the class was impossible given the times they were held.
On the same day I found out about my schedule change, I called Steve Sohns and asked the person who answered the phone about the procedure to cancel my subscription. She told me to send an email to customer service.
On November 14th, I received a reply from Customer Service who stated that they cannot cancel since they do not handle the billing. What? Thats not what I signed up for. I did not sign up to be billed by a third party. Neither was I informed during the sign up period that I would be billed by a third party.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach to reach the billing company, I decided to report this merchant to ensure that no other customer is subject to their unscrupulous billing practices.
It also appears that I am not the first person to encounter this issue. There have been 2 other reports of this issue. I will attach the screen shots of their reviews to this report.

Students who enroll with us usually do a trial class for the cost of $20 dollars. We charge for Intro classes to be sure people are serious about their training. Upon completion of training, They are asked if they liked the class then the fees for the program are reviewed. Usually students Enroll for a 6 or 12 month tuition. It is a legal form that clearly lays out our responsibility and theirs. The cancelation policy is very clearly presented and is the NY State Law. The student is also asked to sign an additional form stating that they understand the policy. When these situations pop up, we are more than happy To work with a student on a resolution. As the owner, I do travel a lot but I'm always available at the school to solve these issues should they arise. Just because a student is unhappy with the agreement that they agreed to Does not make us bad people. We are clear with our responsibility and theirs. 100% of the time when these negative comments appear they are due to a student not following the cancelation policy as agreed upon on the agreement. We would be happy to discuss this issue with any student who was not happy with the service at our facility. Funds for any part of the agreement that was mishandled by our facility would gladly be returned. This is one of the most successful schools in the country. We get awards for our training and our sincere efforts to provide students with friendly, professional and caring service. Please contact me in person to resolve this issue.
