I am not sure what to say about this DJ company. There are so many different things I can say so I will try to say as much as I can here, to protects future clients from SCR. This company street corner rhythms is ran by a person that calls him self an allies name "Greg" when his real name is "Gary" This individual will do whatever he can to sell you his services, he will talk about other companies also lie to get you to meet him. Not only did he meet me at a Starbucks after telling me he shares an office with someone else therefor he cannot meet me at his office which I though was weird, and irrelevant to why I cannot go to his so called "office" but it was odd he is registered to a PO BOX and only accepted cash and or check written out to his name only. I was in desperate need of a DJ and this DJ street corner rhythms came up every where i types in a DJ term so i figured they much be good little did I know gary and greg whatever he calls himself now was the biggest liar I have ever met. I should have known after viewing his web url and after reading his testimonials they were all written by himself I figured this out just by talking to street corner rhythms only sales member gary. Gary was a good sales men for the first 5 minutes of the conversation then I said I am going to speak to my husband then gary then took a tangent and began talking and talking and talking would not get me off the phone so I said you know what just take my credit card and send me the contract via mail. Gary then said a credit card? I do no accept them my office isn't equipped to charge charges yet but will soon so let meet at starbucks there FREE internet there and I can show you really cool videos and photo's also. After meeting Gary I then figured out he does not have an office nor why he does not accept credit cards. Street corner rhythms does nto accept credit cards due to the coverage a card holder has. I wanted to put this on my credit card just encase the job was not as he stated I at least could get my money back and or try to at least. Gary from street corner rhythms asked me for a check or cash I paid by check he only accepted full payment or a large amount upfront then told me why he does this so the day of the event I do not have to carry around a large amount of cash I said well then I will write you a check, he said well mam we do not accept check the day of god forbid they bounce made sense but then why just cash what about a money order, he said the same thing. Street corner rhythms did NOT show up to my party the day of my party, I called 631 987 9200 20 times trying to find out what was up and I got no response, but let me tell you from the day i called and made the meeting at Starbucks I had received many calls back even after I paid him the deposit, being he wanted one more payment 2 week prior to the event. After realizing he was not going to show I basically lost it and went with no DJ, my party was a mess. I tried to contact this person street corner rhythms again then I waited one month later called private and got him, I acted as I wanted to use street corner rhythms gave him the same story but different information and he set a meeting at the SAME STARBUCKS, also gave me the same exact lines. I them sent my husband in so I did not have to deal, and my husband is a police officer. My husband said hi Greg or are you Gary? gary then got up and my husband said to him if you think your leaving without paying me my money I am going to arrest you right here for false promoting you as a person and your business. I said, you are going to tell me a few things first then your going to give me my $1000 back. Gary agreed, this Gary guy is powerful over the phone but once you meet him he is this little puny Jewish boy who needs mental help. I then walked in and requested information so i can file a report on him but I just needed to know some things. Why do you say you have a office when you do not, Why don't you accept credit cards, why do you meet at Starbucks, why are you registered to a PO BOX.
His responses:
I want to look bigger then i am so i say i have an office that i share with someone, so it seems i cant bring any clients in there, usually works!
I meet people here at Starbucks so when I do not do there party and or do there party and something goes not as planned they cant come to my home and go after me that's also why I am registered to a PO BOX.
I currently do not accept credit cards being people can get all there money back after a party is done by using there dispute right, also the machines are very expensive.
People, please if you are going to hire this SICK, Mentally disturbed man Gar or Greg or Street Corner Rhythms I feel really bad for you. I can guarantee the above statements have been said to you to get you to book and or occurrences happened as well. This man is sick and will take your money and run!
There a lot of great companies online I can list a few but all of them have office office staff and also do everything street corner rhythms doesn't do. I am scared for this man Gary, he piste off me and allot of others out there so PLEASE I took this time to warn you, this is coming from a mother, look else where, theirs hundreds of companies out there.

It has come to my attention that Music To Your Ears DJs has been filing bogus reports like this one against EJ the DJ and Street Corner Rhythms. The reports I am referring to are this one and #550595. This includes writing full detailed reports about displeasure's with events that never occurred. In these reports, names and phone numbers have been made up. If you will notice on this report, the "author" goes as far as plugging his website at the bottom claiming it to be "...one great website I saw". You will also notice the grammar on both reports are horrible and consistent with one another.
If you input a search for "mtyedjs" and "Music to your ears DJ", you will see numerous legitimate complaints against this company both as an entertainment company to the consumer and as a client to web developers.
I urge consumers who use ripoffreport.com to read rebuttals as well as original reports. Contact companies directly, ask questions about the reports on this website and form your own conclusion. Thank you.

Rivals in business can go back a long way. You have shick and Gilette, Coke and Pepsi, and now, you have my company (Street Corner Rhythms) and John's company (Super Sweet Sixteens.com)
When I first learned of the report, I was shocked. I can understand some friendly competition in the world of business, but what was truly astounding to me is the level some people will sink to, to make themselves look better while trying to make the other company look bad.
However, I always assumed there were rules and guidelines to follow.
For example, if the other company were to say "this is how that company handles a party and here is how we handle a party, and this is why I feel were better" then by all means, that person has every right to say that, but to hit below the belt, with such incredible disregard for the other business, income or way of life, and to also insult my religious and faith based beliefs is just unacceptable, and therefore I felt it deserved a response.
First, the client itself. He (or She) (it has been changed twice since the report was first filed) does not exist. REPEAT... This client is a complete FAKE and FABRICATION.We never did business with these people, there is no contract between us, and it is a total out and out lie and completely ficticious
IF such a client exists, we offer them this challenge. Here and NOW. Produce a contract. Right Here on the web for everyone to see. A real contract, with our logo, signed and dated by you, proving that we in fact, did a party for you. At that point, we will be MORE THEN HAPPY to accommodate you in any way, including any financial settlement that both parties can agree too.
We can say this, without any hesitation, because as we stated above, we know, beyond any reasonable doubt, that this client not real, no way, in any shape or form.
The person responsible for this monstrosity is a former employee of ours. His name is JOHN.
Several years ago, he worked for us and for the most part, he was actually a half way decent dj. It wasn't until he decided to completely "Diss us" and as the term goes "ghost a gig" (that means he was assigned to dj a particular event and never showed up, which is something we have never done to a client until he took this honor)
His excuse at the time? "I was offered another event for more money and decided to take it"
He eventually opened up his own dj company, and even though we never asked for this, and provoked this in any way, unfortunately the rival began.
His first act of defiance against us was to copy our entire website, and then re-copy it to his own, and then simply change the company name and phone number to his..
Next, He stole the name from another prominent NY DJ, called DJ SPINZ, who had an excellent reputation. and used it for himself. When the other dj heard of this, he demanded it back, and to this day, he still sometimes uses his alias. So before he accuses us of using false names, it is actually HE who has perpetrated this fraudulent act, not us.
John didn't stop there, He has a lot of patience, and his next dare devil stunt was to wait to the last second for rival companies domain names (a domain name is what a company uses to promote their website, for example, we are at www.StreetCornerRhythms.com ) to expire and then STEAL IT right from under their noses, some of which he owns today including but not limited to...

and ironically, and exceptionally conveniently located, at the end of their statement, you will notice they tell everyone, that they recommend a particular company..... isn't it funny... another one of Johns companies, www.supersweetsixteendjs.com
For the record...
We do take both Checks and Cash.. and we have offered the credit card option, but no one wanted to pay the extra fees that accompany it.
We do have an office, but most of our clients because of their busy lifestyles don't have that much time, or gas for that matter to travel and they like the fact that we are willing to travel to them, instead of having to travel to us.
We do not ask for any money upfront, except for the deposit, which most legit companies do, and we only ask for the remainder balance after the event has taken place.
and yes, I am jewish, not pruny by any means, and if anyone does not want to hire me because of that, well thats their problem.
I ask that those of you who are reading this to please be your own judge, look at all the facts, then make a fair and just decision on what you believe to be true.
Also..
There is an ongoing investigation, our lawyers have been called, and its only a matter of time for the truth to be revealed. We trust that all will be solved in a matter of days.
