Stripe is a company that provides a way for individuals and businesses to accept payments over the internet. Co-founded by brothers Patrick and John Collison, the company has received $130 million in funding; investors include Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and PayPal co-founders Peter Thiel, Max Levchin, and Elon Musk.
(Paypal and Stripe.com are both unethical companies that steal from small businesses.)
Our company has used Stripe.com for one year. We are in excellent standing with them. We have been in business for over a decade and have an excellent history with all our banks. Out of no where we receive an email from Stripe.com canceling our account and refusing to pay us our payments for purchases we had already sent out? We only sell self help books. They sent us form letter that we didn't understand and was a lie.
"We've observed a number of recent charges in your account that appear to be unauthorized. Our banking partners prohibit us from supporting merchants processing payments that are unlikely to have received cardholder authorization. Unfortunately, this means Stripe will not be able to process payments."
(Our response) We have proof that all buyers are authorized. But, they ignored us." Free Your Mind contacts all our buyers... so, it's impossible that they are unathorized. Our company asked for proof? Who is the company that isn't authorized? No response.
This has become a trend with most merchant accounts, they hold your money, you can't dispute with them or even talk to them.
Stripe.com dose not have customer support or a phone number--so, you can't talk to anyone. We lost money with them for no reason? They were unprofessional and unethical. Paypal and most merchant services can hold your money forever and make interest off your money. You lose your money and the products or services. I say it's time we forget banks and go back to cash.
Since, most banks are dishonest and unnecessary, we have decided to make our business a cash only business. That means C.O.D's. Yes, we may lose some business, but, we will have peace of mind. Please stop empowering the banks... we get nothing in return for using banks.
