I purchased a phone in a Costco's warehouse the phone was a Verizon product. The sales man said I would get a $50.00 rebate credit card just mail in certain items. He made copy's of th items I need to send in.I laced them in the mail 6 days later this was right after Thanksgiving.I contacted Verizon one month later and asked about the rebate. They said I had to go one line and contact Stuart Lee Rebate as they had nothing to do with it.I then contacted Costco s and got the same story.I went to the web sight stuartleerebate.com and see I have no way of contacting them and I am still waiting for the rebate. It is now January 10,2013 I never seen a poorer display of customer service.

Wrong Website

#2Consumer Suggestion

Thu, January 10, 2013

Dear Malinda S.
The correct website for Stuart Lee Rebates is:
http://www.stuartleerebates.com/

Note the "S" at the end of the URL.  The site the consumer used   (stuartleerebate.com) is a placeholder or a splog (spam-blog) and has nothing whatsoever to do with the  Stuart Lee Rebates company.

Had the consumer used the correct site, they would have been easily able to check the status of their rebate.  The box to begin the process is right there on the front page.

This is an example of why "Ripoff Reports" can be dangerous.  Here, an upset consumer slammed Verizon, CostCo, the rep,  and the rebate company in one complaint,  when in reality the issue was that the consumer was unable to read and follow simple directions.

This should also be a lesson for small businesses who are registering domain names and building websites. ALWAYS register both the singular and plural versions of your domain and direct one to the other so you don't lose traffic because of a typo. This is a common problem.  I would also register and re-direct any common  misspellings of your company name.   Register all of the common roots  .com/.net/.org/.biz and .info.
