on March 1, 2004, I received a request for the collection of an expired AT&T Wireless account that I had in the amount of $352.00 in which a settlement cost of $279.54 was being offered to close out the old debt. I contacted Superior Asset Management, Inc. (SAM) and spoke w/several representatives (Suki & Corie were the last). I made arrangements to pay off the delinquent account that had fallen into collections and Suki told me on August 23, 2004 that I could pay the settlement offer of $279.54. I went to my Credit Union and paid by Cashier's Check.

Several weeks later, I called to see when my letter stating that I had paid in full would arrive but was told that it would be arriving soon and that they could see in the system where it had been paid.

As of April 25, 2006, I have still not received a letter for my files. When I call from work or home SAM has my numbers keyed into the system to playback a message stating that they are searching for my account and then a message plays back that states the account is no longer with SAM.

I decided to call from my cell phone number a representative answered right away because the system didn't recognize that number. The representative asked me which account I was calling for and then she said that the account has been paid. I asked for a fax stating that it has been paid because I haven't received the letter and she said she can't do that. I asked for a manager and she said to hold the line. I held the line for 45 minutes and no one ever came back to the phone. I called backa nd now I get the same message because now they have tagged my cell phone number to that account.

AT&T Wireless has sent their collection accounts to some very fradulent people. SAM has taken my funds and then passed off my collection to Palisades, who are now trying to collect the same money from me.
