Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On June 19, 2003 I purchased an EBAY business from Surplus Alert, It was advertised under the CBSnews logo. On June 23, 2003 I was informed that my "Store" was open.

I was given a log on address to enter the "Store". It never worked, I could not log on except through the link in the e-mail informing me of the opening. I received no other information as how to operate the business.

Since June 23,2003 I have sent at least ten or more e-mail to all the addresses given to me to request help. I have never received a reply to any of my requests, they have ignored me completely.

For purchasing the business I was to receive my own e-commerce enabled web site, I assume that is the one I can't log on to. If I, the supposed owner can't log on to it who can? How can I expect to do business, if my customers can't find me?

I was also to receive four books to help with the operation of the business. I have never received them. They also promised that if no business was recieved they would pay twenty dollars ($20.00). And the web site was ours as a gift. I won't hold my breath until I see these items.

There is more, but that would make this report to lengthy. Let's just keep in mind the under lying messages. These people have no principle, honesty and intergrity I'm sure they never even heard those words. They steal from those who can't afford it and think they have done someting great. They lie to and cheat people who show them faith and trust. These are evil people.

I also bought these books and got the free web-site. It took me awhile but I did find everything I paid for. Maybe you could check again? Did they send you an email at all, maybe immediately after your payment went through? I received an email with my website name, my password and a link to use them. The "store" is very easy to set-up and has alot of help with listing in the search engines. The "books" which they fail to tell you are "ebooks" and they are on the website under RESOURCES. I know how bad it feels to be ripped off and this is probably one of the first times I have ever bought something for $20 and didn't get ripped off. I know you would feel better if you didn't feel ripped off yourself, so maybe you could check through your emails to see if you missed it. If not write or call them to ask for your URL and password. I think they are actually an ok company just things got messed up with communications. They even have reports on traffic, orders and your commission. Good Luck, I hope you can find your purchase and things will turn out for you.

My experience with this company was not like yours but I cancelled my webstore by simply calling this number. 1-877-269-3175 ext: 2. By calling this number and pressing no. 2 you will be directed to a voice mail saying that all customer representatives are currently busy and to leave a message. When this "leave a message" prompt starts, press zero and it will re-direct you back to that extention again to hear the message again. If you keep pressing zero when the "leave message" prompt starts, eventually a representative will pick up and speak with you. This is what I did today and cancelled. I hope they don't charge my credit card anyway and if they do, I'll be back here to complain about it. At least now you have a way to speak to them. I hope this helps a little.
