I made a purchase from Surveillent through the Amazon marketplace. After receiving the item I discovered I had ordered the wrong item. I emailed Surveillent and started the RMA process. Surveillent stated that I would receive a full refund if the items were returned unopened, which was the case.
After the items were back in their possession they sent me an email stating that in order to receive a full refund I would have to provide a 5-star positive review. They even included what the review had to state.
The offering of monetary incentive for a positive review is a violation of the Amazon reseller policies. Surveillient also failed to follow their own posted return policy, which states that any unopened item returned within 30-days will be refunded in full.
My failure to provide the positive review resulted in my loss of shipping costs (for the purchase and the return), and I was charged a 25% restocking fee.
In addition Surveillent's customer service is rude, arrogant, and condescending.
It appears that Surveillent is nothing more than a drop-shipper that has to provide an incentive for buyers to give them good reviews.
