Sweet Peas, Gina Straw rip-off East Irvine California
I too was scammed by this company. On 8/1/02,I sent a $42.00 money order to receive a kit to make baby bibs. I finally called the company on 9/6/02 to let them know I did not receive the product. The owner said it was sent out without even looking anything up. So I waited until 9/16/02 and called the owner again. She just laughed and said "Too bad, it was sent out". That got my blood to boiling & I said I was going to report her to the Better Business Bureau. She hung up on me.
I called the BBB, filed a complaint and owner said to them she would refund money. I called BBB again in January 2003, they contacted owner again, same response she'll send my money. This is now February 25, 2003 (7 months later).
Someone suggested I hire an attorney - it's the principal of the matter here trying to get my money back. There are too many honest people looking to make an income to allow a company like this to operate. I wish I had a family member that was a lawyer or I had money to hire one. But I don't. But I did talk to an attorney and he told me the next step to take was to contact the Internal Revenue Service which I have done.
I truly hope this company is shut down. She scams people and how low can you be to be scamming on baby products? Shame on you and what goes around comes around. And I hope you get everything you deserve coming to you
