Swendsens Automotive Soy City Towing Sells Dangerous Tires and is Not Honest Decatur, Illinois
My daughter is a college student. As a result her car is about 20 yrs old. She works all the time to put herself through school. Our family works hard for our money and it is hard sometimes to make repairs to vehicles. As a result, when my daughter's car had bald tires and a tire that was constantly flat, we looked for an alternative. Buying new tires was not an option as money was tight. We had rented a truck from this person and suggested to our daughter she talk with John, the owner, about maybe getting used tires. Now we know that used tires are just that. However, when he said he would put tires on it that were slightly used and would last for 6-12 months we thought he would not put tires that would explode.
THREE days after installing tires on my daughter's car, they blew out and nearly caused a wreck. She had it towed to another place of business because after this man had assured her that the tires would be safe, she did not trust him or his mechanics. When I called John and told him what happened, he acted like he could careless. I told him I wanted to bring back the tires and get a refund. HE REFUSED. He tried to say that after three days of use, my daughter did something to cause a major blowout. This infuriated me. After 30 minutes of arguing with this dishonest person, I hung up. Please please please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO REPAIR A CAR, rent a Penske truck or have your vehicle towed. It is obvious this business does not care about their customers nor do they have any integrity.
