...the retaliation will be forthcoming. Swift is well known for launching torpedo's when drivers quit, and they hit their mark on the driver's DAC report. You need to give them a few weeks and then pull a copy of your report to see what little surprises they have put on it. I'm betting that you will be charged by them with having quit while under dispatch, and with some form of abandonment of the truck and/or trailer. The charge will either be that you returned the truck out of route, or to an unauthorized location. You will also likely have to fight tooth and nail to get any or all three charges removed from your record, if they lodge them on your record. And last, your final check will likely have deductions taken from it, in spite of any verbal agreement that was made otherwise. It's what they do to those who are not pleased with their miserable jobs. Swift is a bad place to work, a worse place to terminate your employment, and I hope that you will take the time to return and offer an update to exactly what happens to you when you attempt to find another driving job, and just how horribly that Swift attempts to darken your record. As I live and breathe, I know that some or all of the above will come to pass, but I will pray for you that it doesn't.
