Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My Husband and i both attented the swift training school in millington tn.

we took and passed the initial first 3 weeks, and both went with seperate mentors for 6 weeks, and both passed. we were both very happy, we drove for them for a year and got done due to home time. they would never let us come home for more then a day at a time. so we both found local driving jobs here in the state of NH. we paied 3900.00 a piece to swift.

Now we got a letter dated for dec 11th 2008. this is what it says...

It Has been brought to our attention by the tennessee Dept of state, that the skill test you took through thier 3rd party tester did not meet applicable state and federal licensing standards. As a result, you are required to undergo the pre-trip insepction, off road and on road skill test to maintain your cdl licence in this state. You have 60 days from the date of this leter to take and successfully pass the above listed requirments or you will be disqualified from operating a commercial motor vehicle.please go to the nearest dmv office and make arrangments to have the tests scheduled.

thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Well we were in aww this is our sole source of income!!!! and we did make the appointment to retest But the problem is the test date is past the 60 days so we have no idea what is going to happen. this is not right for swift to do this to Us. something has to be done we all paied and did our end of the deal its only fair they do as well... i am open to any help with this matter.. Swift is messing with peoples livleyhoods. this is so unfair.

pay is for training

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, February 08, 2009

I have responded to many of these reports where cdl's are being revoked. I agree that Swift should have their training operation shut down. The sad part of this mess is the contract is for training, not obtaining a cdl. Many fail the course and are sent home with a $3900 bill. Just like going to college...you pay tuition whether you pass or fail. Part of my job with Swift was going over the contracts with students and any suit will probably fail because the money paid is for training...if you would call it that. I wish all of you luck with this mess.
