Swipebids.com is a gimmick. I was on Ebay.com and I thought I was adding a new debit card account to my paypal. Swipebids.com appeared as a pop up on my screen. I entered my card information. I caught this and never sent the information thru. Somehow the company got my information.
At first, they took a dollar out of my account from a dummy company. Then they took $79 which was all the could access. So when I saw this on my account I contacted my bank. The bank gave me the company telephone # so I could get a refund. The number that they give to the banks to contact them is disconnected.
So I went online to contact them. I did get an actual working number but when you call that number the dont handle refund request over the phone. They want you to go online and chat with a live representative. So I did and they told me I had to use all my credits with them that I did not want and if I didnt win an auction they would then refund my money.
I told them that was unacceptable and I would not do this. After I went back and forth with them for over 25 minutes they agreed to refund my money.
The membership fee for this site is $159. I only had $90 in my account so they took $80 and told me they let me become a member at a discount. That is a rip off. They will take $10 if thats all you have. They just want what they can get. So beware and do not even visit swipebids.com.
