I am writing this to warn you about Symrna cymbal company. My drum company purchased some cymbals at a trade show in Germany. We sent this company a deposit to cover the complete production of a huge amount of cymbals. After months of calling we finally reaced them. They neded more money to fill the order.  We told them no, just make and ship what you feel we paid for They never ship a single cymbal. It has now been nearly two years and I see this company never completly coming through for buyers. I am in contact now with many prior buyers and I get the picture clearl now. These guys re never in their shop. The workers are there bt they are off spending your money. They take your money to make another buyers order. It is not uncommon to gt ripped off in the musical instrument business. It is very common to get lip service and not get what you paid for very late! We are a small community of insiders at these tradehows and all know this comany. I am ritting to warn any new buyers to these organized theives. BEWARE! Just ask anyone in the cymbal business before you do business with them. You've been warned. Good luck.

Symrna has had its issues in the past, but I would consider some of your commentary to be rather unfair

Hello,

My name is Carter Pochynok and I took over as COO of Symrna Cymbals in the United States around one year ago. In that time, I've worked to eliminate the communications issues within the company chain of command that had prevented Symrna from providing any kind of effective customer service prior to my arrival.

We will soon have a warehouse here in the United States so you can expect the infamous wait times of many Turkish custom cymbal makers to be non-existant with us in the near future. Just bear with us while we get some of our potential partnerships and such sorted out and you won't even have to deal with the foundry anymore because I will likely be the one managing your orders if it's a distributor quantity of cymbals. I've only heard of one other case like yours happening and I know that we resolved it with this individual.

I'd like to ask you to provide proof of some of the claims you make on this Ripoff Report as I consider some of them very serious and would like to investigate internally the degree of truth reflected by your commentary. I definitely have seen some customer service issues from our foundry that I'm working every day to correct, but I've never seen the foundry flat-out drop the ball on an order before. The worst I've seen was a cymbal that had oxidized in the box and had a few scratches, and I made them remake it for that customer because its the right thing to do.

Email me at [email protected] if you are willing to provide information I can use to investigate your claims with former customers.

I'm sorry again about your poor experience with us back when we were in our founding stage, but its been nearly a decade and we've evlolved considerably as a company. We only have one board member here in the United States that has been around since the beginning because he maintains our communications with the foundry (admittedly the foundry needs significant improvement in their communications, which is my main "pet cause" within the company right now). Other than that, its all young blood.
