Syndi Shy - Classic Events - Tailgate BBQ dishonost incompotent lied confused ripped off Lancaster Ohio
I used Syndi Shy, also of Classic Event (and Tailgate BBQ) as my wedding planner. I had problems with her almost from the start.
She lied to me about everything she did. She would tell me she had done something and her not being able to remember her lies she'd tell me something totally different the next day.
She overcharged for all the vendors, if I was lucky enough that she even hired the vendors she told me she had. After she overcharged me she'd pocket the difference. I paid her months in advance for all of the vendors but almost all of them didn't get paid until right before my wedding. The venue almost didn't let us check in because she didn't pay until the last minute, and after the wedding the preacher was waiting to get paid!
She handled the wedding cake and told them I wanted something totally opposite of what I'd requested. We specificially asked for a country western music theme but she didn't even tell the D.J. this so he had not country CD's at all.
She convinced me to use her catoring company (Tailgate BBQ or Eat My Ribs BBQ) not only was the food terrible, it was dry and bland and bore a striking resemblence to high school cafateria food, only at $12 a plate, but she didn't even bring what food she was supposed to.
We paid her in advance for a specific amount of alcohol but she brought less than half of what we paid for, when we confronted her about it she cussed at everyone in front of the entire reception. Then she dumped out all of our beer bottles breaking them on the ground, and tore out of the reception area while cussing us from her open car window.
Whenever we'd complain about her she'd say she was having problems b/c her parents are ill, and after the wedding she claimed we'd all gone mad on her because we were racist and didn't like her.
I've spoken to at least three other brides who have had the same experience, she blamed all of their problems on them being racist as well. She even told one of the brides the reason she had problems with us was because my whole family was in the KKK.
