I have had  T Mobile  service for over 15 years,  I have five lines, we do not have service coverage standing in my house.   My son left for college and travels over 300 miles (one way) to school, and he had  no cell phone coverage for miles, so I signed him up for a verizon phone. His line was over two years old with T mobile,  and due for a full upgrade, when I got my T mobile bill they charged me $200 plus tax for dropping the line.   I called them (standing outside in the rain because I don't have coverage in my house) and they said I have to go by my contract date, when I changed contracts.  I asked them about partial refunds and they so no, also, I asked how much to stop my T mobile service and it would be over $1000.  Every month I have different hidden charges on my phone bill, for example,  my 80 year old mother was getting charged $10 a month for a horoscope service, she had no clue about.  This went on for months before we caught it.
I was under the impression, the lines could be dropped after two years with no upgrades, but that is not true. 
Also, I signed up for a upgrade a few months ago on another line, and they sent me a refurbished phone that did not work, I had to pay for the shipping to me, shipping back to them and it took a least eight calls to get my refund on the sorry phone. Also, they would not give me my full upgrade back.
I have Verizon cell phones now, but I still pay T Mobile over $200 a month because they try to trap you  in this service, I will be taking money out of my saving to pay them off and be rid of this sorry service forever.  By the way, I have coverage every where with Verizon, I love it!!!
