Tammy Sweatt has been running her caterering scam in NH for over 20 years.   A criminal background check will show that she has a rap sheet a mile long for Fraud, Theft, writing bad checks, and many other items.    How her scam works, she attaches her caterering business to sites such as Thumbtack, Wedding Wired as a vendor.   She been running this con for a number of years so provides you with references, letters of recommendations etc that are glowing and sparks your interest.   When you contact her for possible event, she comes to your home, cons you into thinking she will help in any way to make your event the best possible for your budget.   She states she has numerous contact for vendors and even brings a small sample of her cooking goods for tasting.   She has a contract that looks legitimate but in my research she has never honors any of them.

Prom, Graduation, Weddings season events will be coming up the next couple of months.   She will actually go to a venue site with you showing you ideas on how to set up and decorate, all services which she can provide at a very reasonable cost since she is so well connected.  NOTE: the venue does not know she is working her con job.  Then when she gets you hooked she pulls out a formal looking contract.  She is very detailed in the contract so you are further conned into it.

Most Weddings and major events have to be planned months, years even ahead of time, this works into her scam.  You put your deposit down or pay in full she gladly will take your check.   You call her and she calls you back during the beginning, giving you a false sense of security that all is on track.

Once the date of your event gets closer, then all of a sudden emails, texts, phone calls are not returned.   You call one day and guess what the phone has been disconnected!  You call the venue to see if they have an updated number and guess what, they never heard of you!   Then you find out oh yea she came in gave a "bad" check for half the amount you paid her.   The venue tries to contact her and same thing she does not respond or get back to them so they rebook the date for some other event.  You no longer have a venue.

If you already have the venue and she is doing caterering, then the day of your event, you have your attendess show up and she does not, there is no food, set up or anything.  In researching her background, she have over 14 phone numbers in the last year and has moved every 3 months  approximately, the police are called and guess what she already moved to another city.

You contact the attorney general office, do a web search and find out she has pulled this scam all over the state of NH.  Rochester Police department caught up with her in 2014 due to their "Most Wanted of the Week" program and she was arrested and even after pleading guilty the court ordered restitution to the parties involved which she NEVER paid and Never spent any time in jail.   She then moves to another part of the state of NH and does it all over again.   Don't let anyone kid you either her husband? Donald is also part of this scam as well.

DO a background criminal record check on any vendors, it will save you $$$ in the long run.
