I received a letter in the mail from Tampa Green Consultants showing that they are located in Tampa Fl.
stating that you are one of the lucky winners in the CUSTOMER COMPENSATION AND APPERCIATION BONANZA in the 2nd category, organized on Friday December 18th 2009 for all customers of major stores in the U.S. and Canada. A ticket with serial number ****** attachet to your name drew the lucky winning number.
stating that I won $125,000.00 in U.S. Dollars all winners were selected through a random computer ballot system, random names pulled electronically from over 500,000 names. To claim your total winnings prize you must call your claims agent assigned to your winnings, John Morris @ 1-416-887-3024. Final compensation notifications with a check for the amount of $3,980.00 in U.S. dollars and that this amount is to assist you in paying the necessary Goverment applicable taxes on your winnings.
stating that the tax amount is $2,980.00 US Dollars which you will pay through the Western Union to a Government tax agent assigned to process your taxes on your winning. Your claim agent will assist you further on how to pay the money to the Government Tax agent. When all taxes are paid and confirmed, your balance will then be sent to you.
the balance of your winnings which is $121,020.00 U.S. dollars will be paid to you in a cashiers check and will be delivered by Federal Express upon the tax agent confirmation of your tax. payment and you are therefore to contact your claims disbursement agent immediately for further directives on claiming your winning.
I got on the internet and looked up the company name and there is no such place.
I did a reverse lookup on the phone number and it come back to a cell phone in Canada.
I also look up the name on the check and it is a real company in ohio, not Byron Center, MI
the zip code in not a real zip code on the check.
winners beware of what you get. It may look real, but is it really real.

I have also recently recieved a notice from Tampa Green Consultants exactly the same letter.
Because I have recieved it through the mail I believe that the post office should be made aware of this mail fraud.
Apparently, these people are still at work and are continuing to try to rip people off.
Unfortunately, in this climate many could get really hurt.
something needs to be done.
