Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
To anybody that has been scouted by a TC Talent rep or hopefully I will catch you before they do.

Recently, while out at a college bar in Buffalo, I was approached by a middle age man. His first question to me was how tall was I. I told him that I am 5'8". He then asked me if I had ever thought about modeling and I told him of course I had, doesn't everyone dream of modeling?

He went on to proceed to tell me that I had beautiful facial features and that he thought I would be great for the industry. He even asked me what dress size I was? When I told him I wasn't comfortable telling him my dress size he guessed me at a size 4.

I don't think I am have a terrible figure, but it is quite clear that my size 9/10 figure could not fit into a size 4. This should have been my first clue, but he achieved what he wanted and I took it as pure flattery.

He gave me his card and asked me if I was interested in an interview. I told him that I was interested and he wrote a time and date down on the back of the card.

I was psyched. I told all of my friends, I told fellow co-workers and my one friend, who has modeled came with me to the open call. Like every other article you've probably read so far it was the same thing. You pull up to a nice office building, they put you on an elevator, and once you get off the elevator you are greeted by a friendly and professional staff who has you fill out forms and measures you.

You wait in line to have 3 pictures taken...they even tell you how nice your smile is after the photograph you.

After they file you all into a room to watch a video on TransContinental Talent and Lou Pearlman, they have you wait for an interview.

My interview was about 1-2 minutes long. I faced both walls and showed my ankles and they set me up for a phone interview.

My phone interview was a couple days later and the woman that I spoke with seemed friendly. She made small talk and asked me some questions before she gave me my results. She told me that my pictures were beautiful and I should be eligible for all types of modeling accept for runway because of my height and hip measurement.

She then told me about the payment method and transfered me to someone who was ready to take my credit card number. I unfortunately gave him my credit card number.

I put $595 on my credit card and did a check over the phone for the other $200. I realized that it was quite an investment and I am a college student, who works full time to pay my bills. This was a rather large investment for me.

I was so excited, and flattered, and caught up in the idea, that I disregarded thoughts of a negative checking account and not being able to shop for months. I signed with TC Talent and was told my pictures would be up in 2 days to a week.

My boyfriend was skeptical from the beginning, but after he heard I signed, he checked into the company. I did too, but I went right to the TC Talent Website I was given and he just searched the internet.

While I got the company website, he got the websites that the company doesn't want you to see (probably why you're given their website) the modeling scams.

After I read these the past week flashed before me. I remember all the lines they gave me that should have made me skeptical. The problem is that it is flattering to be approached by people, nobody can deny that. You get so caught up in their glamourous speeches that you forget how big of an investment you're making.

One of the articles my boyfriend gave me was that the Better Buisiness Beareau and Lou Pearlman had set up a 3 day right of cancellation policy. I called 2 days after I signed.

I spoke with a woman and told her that I had signed 2 days previous and that I no longer wish to be involved with the company after further research and I was told by the BBB that I had 3 days to cancel.

The girl put me on hold and then came back on wtih instructions. She gave the address and told me I had to send a letter to the attention of Nina, and it had to be postmarked by 5 pm that night.

I did this. It has been only a week so I don't know if I'll get my money back. Fortunately I had payed $200 by check and was able to put a stop payment for only a $20 fee from my bank.

I don't know if I'll get reimbursed. I would hope so seen as I was told that I was, but this company is obviously not very good at keeping their word.

If you're reading this, I hope that you're reading it before you sign with the company and not after.

I have already stopped one girl by signing after I heard her talking about a talent scout approaching her. Hopefully you'll be the next. Good luck

Jay, I agree with you on one thing, in that we need to have smarter letters here on this website... so do everyone a favor and stop posting. What LEGITIMATE business does not have telecheck or some other kind of check verification? If this company does not use a check approval and insurance company to verify checks, they deserve to get stiffed everytime. SCAM!! Also, LEGITIMATE agencies NEVER charge an upfront fee of any sort, above and beyond what they're willing and able to deliver. But since you're obviously the bend over buddy, poster boy for the company, care to elaborate on exactly what the fees are for? Don't waste your time trying to justify this scam, by posting ridiculous items such as photographs, referral fees, etc etc. Post only LEGITIMATE items such as scam money, money for providing no service, guaranteed money, just in case we are unable to find all these clients work, etc, etc. LEGITIMATE agencies profit when, and only when, they have rendered a service for their clients. This up front fee crap is a total scam and you know it! Oh, I'm sorry, maybe you don't. You don't seem like a very intelligent person. Not only have you worked for this company, you also attempt to justify all of it's wrongdoings, while honestly believing deep down in your feeble mind, that this company and what they're doing is legit. Man, you are truly sick in the head and need help. You have no conscience. How the hell do you sleep at night? Do you honestly feel safe walking around the streets at night, knowing that many are aware, that you stiffed people for a living? I wouldn't. I have to give you credit for that. Knowing that there's the possibility of someday running into that someone you have jacked in the past. That wrong someone. Where's Blimpy or Dahmer going to be huh? You honestly think they'll be around to help your sorry a*s? They'll just hire a new shill and pay him or her $10.00 an hour to perpetuate their scam. They'll continue to be in hiding just as they are now. Suckers like you will continue to be around for the rest of eternity. You have the perfect mentality, that any scam company would love to hire. One who is feeble minded and who's willing to defend a company, that could give a rat's a*s about him. Perfect sucker! I mean candidate. You know they don't give a rat's a*s about you, for if they did, they would definitely post rebuttals for themselves and in your favor to back you up. I bet they don't. They might slip and expose the scam. Doesn't it make you feel kind of foolish? Kissing a*s to the company, in which you once worked, that could care less about you. But hey, whatever floats your boat and makes you feel better about yourself. Personally, this would make me contemplate suicide. But hey, I have a spine, therefore, would never allow something as grotesque as fat boy Pearl Man, to control me. How Pathetic!! The Pearl man probably makes you feel special and that's key to someones self esteem. Some fat and grotesque fellow, who needs money for eveything in life, constantly throwing praises your way. What could be better than that? Some fellow that has ties to Hollywood, having to wake up everyday knowing, that each and every celebrity probably thinks of him as the scum of society. Poor fat, disgusting, grotesque, disturbing to look at, no talent, no real friends, very low self esteem, even his own parents were probably ashamed to admit he was their child, have to purchase EVERYTHING with money, even women, unhappy soul. What a buch of winners these guys are. There new name should be Blimpy, Dahmer, No spine bend over shill and associates. They say that money can't buy hapiness and after seeing the Pearl man with my own two eyes, I truly and whole heartedly believe this saying. After seeing this man, I also realize that money can't buy health, looks, self esteem, in the Pearl mans case, women, in the shills case, a brain, etc, etc. The only thing that can be purchased in life are material things and a false sense of greatnest. If you want to fool everyone into believing this is not a scam, start verifying all checks you recieve. Every LEGITIMATE business has one of these check processing gadgets nowadays, why don't you? The Pearl man believes he is the procurring cause of a few pop star groups success. What a laugh!! Like they wouldn't have become successful, had they been discovered by another producer. What a laugh! Yeah, I can't swim, but I have an uncanny ability to teach many others to do so. What a laugh!! Until next time, take care cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

first, not all states have a 3 day recision thgat would apply- this is not an in home sale which is what is covered by most 3 days. as for the other moron- I am one of those who posts inside info. I don't like the company but geez, you went with a friend who'd modeled- HELLO? didn't she tell you not to do it. then you committed a felony by giving them a check by phone when you didn't have the funds. HELLO! if you can't afford it then maybe you shouldn't do it. geez!! I spend all this time bashing these guys for things they legitimately do wrong, and then someone like you comes along and messes it up. IT IS A FELONY TO GIVE SOMEONE A CHECK WHEN YOU KNOW YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO COVER IT, IF THE CHECK IS FOR MORE THAN 200 BUCKS. way to go- they'll probably press charges on you so forget about cancelling. how are they going to refund you when you bounced the check?? you're a college student who went with a friend who had modeled. she obviously didn't feel it was so shady that she would've told you not to do it. so you did and bounced the check and now you expect a refund. PEOPLE, WE NEED TO HAVE SMART LETTERS HERE- THE ONLY WAY YOU'LL STOP THESE GUYS IS IF THE CASES ARE REAL AND GENUINE- this is lame. do not assume all states have 3 day rights of recission- it may not apply. more shadows know

Hey y'all, well pretty much same sh*t happened to me, and I just made a payment of $795 today morning, but after learning that there is a 3-day cancelation policy, I am calling them tomorrow morning to cancel, and if they do not cancel, and if it did happen to anyone before, call your local attorney's general office, and your state is most likely to have a 3-day cancelation law especially when it comes to such large amounts of money (to me it is, college student), and so if it happened to anyone and they're still within the first 3-days of making the payment, betta cancel that sh*t or pearlman had made you lick his pearls haha
good luck to everyone.
