Complaint Review: Tech Saviours - San Jose California

where do I start to talk about how I was scammed by this company, TechSaviours.  It all started in May 2015 and I'm still getting phone calls from this fake company. Part of the problem is, I believe, that there is a fake company calling themselves TechSaviours (800-456-9815) and then there’s a real company called TechSaviours (877 719 0298).

So yesterday September 21, 2017,  I got a phone message from Kevin, at TechSaviours.  On my answering machine he said for me to call him back at 800 456 9815 in order to get a refund.  That was the hook.   So I called him back and he reported that my computer had not  been updated since July, 2015. I asked him to leave it me a personal email so I can think about if I wanted to call him back or not. I wanted to question him about his saying (really lying)  about getting a refund on my answering machine.

That afternoon, I  went on the nternet and typed in ‘TechSaviours’ and found a ripoff report written about them, report number 115-1225,  by jjnewhip, from South Carolina.  That report was submitted on June 1, 2014.  (If this company had been investigated then,  maybe I would not of been scammed in July 2015). In this person’s complaint about TechSaviours, it was reported, “We requested a refund on 4 occasions, and they never issued one.  About twice a month now, they call and say they received a suspicious email, and that they need to take control of his computer remotely to check this out. We are now in the process of filing a dispute directly with the credit card company as well as a complaint with the FCC and possibly the FBI.   I believe this company to be hackers and do not trust them one bit.”

So back to my story:  In July 2015, somehow they were able to get into get into my MSN account, leaving a message that I needed to contact them right away. Believing that they were from MSN account, I gave TechSaviours  remote access to my computer to fix the problem. I was offered a lifetime membership for continual monitoring against viruses and other fraudulent activities for the price of $699.00.  Yep you got it, I paid that. To make the story more interesting, in February 2016, someone from the real TechSaviours, and left me this email:

Hi,

Greetings for the day

You are receiving this Email because you are an Existing customer with us.

We appreciate all our customers for their Prompt response and you would like to know that we were able to save a lot of customer’s money who have already paid to the scammers.

Now these people have started doing calls and changed their number so we would like to inform you that you need to be cautious from 2 numbers    1-800-456-9815 and 1-888-275-5751. These Scammers are calling themselves as Techsaviours and asking to give the remote access to clean up the computer  and once you  give the access to them they would change the phone number and software that we installed on your computer and obviously try to charge you. Please make sure. You have the right number to call us and both the numbers are mentioned in our signature in the email. We only have one number from which we call you and that is 1-877-719-0298.

If you have received any emails that say that Techsaviours have changed their number that is a bogus email and you can yourself check the format of the email and These people do not know that A company cannot be INC and LLC at Same time. If you have received any email Just check the signature it says Techsaviours LLC INC and you would Laugh out Loud after seeing this. Email is not in proper format and looks Fake Altogether.

We have always loved our customers and want them to stay with us and love to save them from any possible scam activities…

Please do not give remote access as we never call our customers as mentioned in our previous email as well. Please call us on the number mentioned above and confirm if we called you before giving any remote access to anybody.

So I paid this real company, $699 for another lifetime membership. For the amount of money I’ve paid to TechSaviours,  I could have purchased another new computer.  Boy do I feel stupid!  I hope I learned my lesson.

In 2016, I contacted my credit card company,  trying to report that the initial charge of $699 from the fake company should be investigated, and I felt a refund was warranted. Unfortunately nothing happened.

It gives me some satisfaction knowing that I can report this fake company and post my complaint in this ripoff report. I hope something is done about the fake TechSaviours so that the real TechSaviours don’t suffer from misrepresentation to unsuspecting people who want to keep their computer virus free and hacker free.
