Tech Zone 247 I feel I was ripped off. Minneapolis Minnasota & Nationwide
While seeking to report a problem installing my Net Gear router I phoned the tchnical problems phone number provided on their website. Their support service, Tech Zone 247 took control of my computer with their software and told me I could have my problem solved until they "cleaned" my computer. As this seemed logical to me, I allowed them access to control my computer. This "cleaning" was not covered under my 90 day warranty for my router. They offered a $200 one time servie fee or a $400 one year service fee. I told them that I only wanted the services offered undeer the 90 day free Net Gear warranty. They then tried to repair the router problem, but were unable solve the problen in getting the router to work and suggested that I return the router to the vendor. They proceeded to charge the $400 to my credit card.
