Techon Digital Rip Off artists. Brooklyn New York Nationwide
Techon refused to ship the camera until I called them on the phone. The email I received said I needed to call to confirm the order so they can ship. What reputable stores do this? When I did not call promptly they called me first, the next morning, 12 hrs after I placed the order. I was then told I forgot to order a SD card. I said no I don't need a card.
I was the told all other cards will not work with Nikon. Total BS. Again I said just ship the camera. I was the told I needed to buy a battery and the OEM Nikon battery was just a test battery and was good for 10 minutes and then the camera would not work. BS again. I asked again just ship the camera and was told "you know this is out of stock?" I said again I will wait then.
He said 3-4 weeks. I also said if you are not making enough profit to tell me and it was obvious they did not want to ship it. I asked if there was a problem if I wait 3-4 weeks? He tole me I should wait. 3 hours later after reading nothing but bad reports on the net I called to cancel. I was the told my order was on hold. I never asked to put it on hold.
When I said I wanted to cancel I was offered a USA model to be shipped for more money as the camera I ordered was a foreign model. Again BS. I guess paying $165 for a camera sold anyplace else for $255 and up is not going to happen. Beware of Techon because unless you allow them to make a high profit on batteries, memory cards, warranties or different items they will NEVER ship what you ordered.
