I was a Telatron employee for two years from Feb 2001 until Dec 2003. I was miserable for those two years working there. That place is EVIL! It is a cesspool. The HR staff, especially Diana Post are condescending and treat you like sh**.

Some of the supervisors and directors are incompetent and mean, and don't know what the hell they're doing most of the time. I've been subject to humiliation by employees like Kiev Martinez, Aisha Barnes. They really do need to perform criminal background checks on all potential employees because they're dealing with confidential information, credit card numbers, account numbers, personal information, etc.

They should've done one on Kiev because he put his fist through one of the computers, he spreaded rumors about me, Aisha Barnes got 7 children by 7 different fathers, a lot of ghetto, shady people work at Telatron, including the Covattos and one of their sons, Tom Laird, who is an alcoholic by the way. There's this Telatron employee, Michael Hamilton who got DUIs and Telatron didn't bother to do a background check on him. One guy who had an affair with a supervisor when she was married got her fired for sexual harassment. Chad Warren, a former Telatron employee is a sex offender, he got busted for sexual abusing a child. There's a lot of creeps, criminals, pervs, manwhores, sluts at Telatron and they deserve to work at this bottom-of-the-barrel company.

Good day anonymous, After googling my name, I came across this entry, and found it quite humour. Firstly, if I had put my "fish through a screen", the company would have never paid me unemployment compensation, which they did. You are sadly mistaken in your beliefs, and if you think you were tortured, perhaps you should have spoken up. I have many people that will vouch for my good character at Telatron, including several supervisors. Also - I never dated a supervisor. Someone said that I dated Stacy - my apologies, but I am gay. Thank you for your attention, however. I hope you improve in your life and achievements. Sincerely, Kiev A. Martinez

First of all......these are my own personal observations over the course of 3 years ----------------- **I was there the day Kiev punched the screen and got escorted out. Not to mention Mike H. and Kiev were both dating a supervisor, when they both found out about one another they did indeed have the supervisor fired. However the supervisor was letting them take unpaid lunches, etc. So really she deserved it. What you said is ALL TRUE. **An employee actually broke the PIN code on day when someone said aloud your log in PIN was your ID multiplied by the number of the month you were born in. They claim your digital paystubs and log in's are safe but they're not. **Once you log in to view your pay stub you'll notice the webpage URL ends in .asp=YOURIDNUMBER. All you have to do is change the ID number and you can see that persons pay history, social security number (which has been removed recently), and other personal information **Lisa Berry, who used to run HR was a brutally unprofessional amazon of a woman. She once told my training group that "Some women just need more makeup than others, so please don't force us to tell you to wear makeup!", she went on to tell us that we should never hang out with managers. That she was a manager once, and yes she dated someone on her team. But just because she married him doesn't mean it will work out for us. Now.....she preached this topic pretty hardcore because Telatron is VERY sleazy. Which I understand....but then don't brag about how you met the man of your dreams and dated him against the rules. She no longer works for Tela-hell but I have personally seen her verbally assault more than a dozen employees. **Justin Bricker is Lisa Berry's nephew. He spent his nights at work high as a kite while he made $2-3 more an hour than every other SOBER supervisor simply because 'he knew people'. This is an absolute fact as I have logged into my own pay stub, replaced my ID number with his, and have seen his paystub with my very own eyes. **One Sunday this OIC named Peggy actually screamed at this poor supervisor because she asked to use the ladies room. We generally run on a bare bones crew early in the morning on Sundays. This supervisor obviously didn't work inbound very much and so she was running around trying to get all the programs set up. When Peggy told her she may NOT use the ladies room until another supervisor came on shift, the supervisor cried and walked out to use the restroom anyway. She later told us she was written up for it. Now I can understand being understaffed....however Peggy was the OIC!! She was right in the room with all of us reps. She could have come down from her podium for 5 minutes so the poor super could pee. That was the last Sunday I ever worked. **Rochelle on inbound likes to play mind games too. She clearly has her favorite employees and bails them out on "manager calls" all the time. When an angry customer demands to speak to a manager, we are of course supposed to talk them down as much as possible. Flagging down a super to take the cal is an absolute last resort. If Rochelle doesn't like you, you're screwed. She won't take the call unless she thinks TQA is listening in on that reps line. Personally I like Rochelle so my time under her is fairly enjoyable, but what she does still isn't right. Sorry Rochelle! Love you anyway. **When I first moved to ALC I was on Renee's team. And YES YES YES to the other post on rip off report.... http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/100/RipOff0100220.htm .....Renee does in fact use whitepages.com to help fill in a customers application. This sounds like a good thing but it isn't. ALC is a sales job, you're supposed to get the customer to commit to the application, and that includes getting ALL the information from the person right there. Instead Renne has you probe for information. The application needs references? Probe about the customers parent....she will then assume they have the same last name and live in the same town. While the rep talked she monitors the call and does her search. the rep then tries to pretend like they had this persons parents information and they try to verify it. At this point the customer doesn't know we're a sales person they think we're something more official. More to the point sometimes this whitepage information is totally wrong and Renee will force you to input it anyway. That is falsifying a FEDERAL DOCUMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She TEACHES reps to do this so she can earn her precious commission. ********Renee also got drunk one night when ALC stayed open to do CA until 9PM (which is d**n late in EST) and she and a few supers stayed up late doing shots at their desk to celebrate each sale that came in. Patty was the OIC and didn't even notice. Employees started leaving early because they were so uncomfortable with it. **Amy Smith, an AM supervisor, is meaner than hell. She makes the most AWFUL fat jokes I have ever heard. Amy isn't actually all that attractive herself but man she really dishes out some nasty stuff. She's not even tactful, she makes jokes and comments right to people's faces bringing a few employees to tears. Her response to that was to laugh in their faces until they ran off the production floor. I actually worked with her a few Saturdays and ended up working next to her Mom who worked at Telatron shortly. Amy did a lot of stat boosting in the way Renne used WhitePages to help her Mom get more commission. Amy just yells, and takes sides, and is generally prone to horrible mood swings and graphic gossip. BEWARE. **Chris S., a PM supervisor, has his good days and bad days. Generally he's pretty cool. He's fair and honest and he keeps the gossip to himself. It's a shame he's always getting high (or drunk) at work at lunch, because while he's fun after that....I just shouldn't have to work like that. He also started dating another super "Kara". Kara was as flighty and moody as Amy S. and if Chris tactfully tried to take his lunches alone Kara would through an outright hissy fit. So while he didn't actually cause that many problems directly...at the same time he did. **Kara as mentioned was a horrible supervisor. She dated another supervisor while all parties were already dating someone else. She once pointed out a man on her team and laughed at him in front of everyone (by getting down on the floor and holding her stomach, she was laughing so hard, and rolling around) because she thought the rep had an erection and had announced that matter of factly to her team. I felt so god awful horrible for him, but I needed the paycheck so most of this went unreported. There were many other incidents but that pretty much takes the cake and I'm sure you get the gist of her. **Shelly was a Supervisor trainee and she was horribly inappropriate in all ways. Hair, makeup, personal hygiene, etc. She talked graphically about sex, and childbirth, and constantly flirted and abused her powers by making anyone who spurned her advances suffer. She was a very large lady and made many men uncomfortable. She was eventually fired. **Dustin was a Supervisor trainee also. He had his good days and his bad days. He had served in Iraq and every now and then he'd bring up how he liked to kill people and how he was a sniper. He would get dreamy-eyed and distant when he talked like that. It was actually very frightening. Also lots of inappropriate talk here too. He was constantly telling people how his fiance cheated on him once, so he got a "get out of jail free" card to use before they got married. When he announced that he spent the last 3 months trying to bed every girl in the room. He was not subtle. He once hounded a young girl who had just had a baby for sex, when she turned him down he yelled at her and told her her baby was ugly. She reported him and he quit and/or was fired shortly after that. **It wasnt' ALL bad though. Patty, Melisa, Step on alfo, and Erica were all good supervisors. I would have to say that Patty and Erica were my favorites. As mentioned in some other report on this site, these supervisors actually followed the rules. At first I got hassled by Patty and Erica for talking about politics....and since it was an election year it was very frustrating. After while I realized that there were some pretty scary people working there. one rep named Scott was OBVIOUSLY deeply disturbed. His sister was mentally retarded and she went missing in Erie and is presumed dead. He talked about this quite a bit. Scott never let a topic drop. If you disagreed with him he would follow you to lunch and hassle you all the way there. He ran a website where he talked about Jesus and guns, and had pictures of both. So yes....Patty and Erica seemed hardcore but you don't know what people like Scott might do if you argued with him on topics like religion or politics. So yes there was a reason Patty and Co enforced some rules to the extreme, but it made my work day easier to get through. I hate to sound uptight but the rules ARE THERE FOR A REASON. They are there to minimize the drama. Sadly Melisa quit and moved away, Steph moved to AM, Erica reported Dustin for sexual harassment, and then no one ever saw her again. When Erica told HR Shelly was a witness to whatever happened, Shelly realized Dustin had tried to bed everyone in the room but her and lied to HR telling them Erica did in fact have some kind of affair with Dustin. Which was such a lie. Shelly is insanely jealous of anyone thinner than her (which I'm sorry to say is 99% of the people who work there). Erica was far from perfect but she wasn't sleeping around. In fact she was the only one who banned her team from using whitepages and forced people to follow rules about the application...and yet our sales were still good. OH GASP! And people said ti couldn't be done without lying on the phone to the customer. She was very motivational and understanding, and she was probably too nice, other supers really picked on her because she didn't want to hang out at the local bar "Rack N Roll" so she wasn't "Cool". She knew her way around the screens so she'd always be able to help me take an app so I wouldn't miss a sale if I made a mistake on the computer. I really did like her because she was always honest with me and I felt like I could talk to her about problems I was having at work. She wouldn't make fun of you like Amy S for Shelly if I wanted to do better at my job. Of course I can't give her all the credit....Following the rules at Telatron constitutes being sober, showing up on time, and not having sex, drinking, or doing lines at your desk. No employee should be doing that anyway. None of the "good"supers were perfect, but they were troopers and they all deserved so much better than Telatron. Right before I left Telatron fired Patty. I was so sad when I found out. She was a much older lady who used to tell us stories about how she was there when the company was the owners, her, and a few phones and a phone book. Her name is in the concrete of the foundation. She was a little computer-niave and I think reps took advantage of that with her, but she was a VERY good supervisor. She was the best in fact. She didn't' tolerate anyone's crap. If a rep was being rude she sent them packing. She made people follow the rules so it was always nice to work for her. She was fair and open to new ideas. She was just a little computer-backwards.I hope she's enjoying retirement because she d**n well deserves some peace and quite after so many decades of work and dedication. I liked her as an OIC too. She was friendly and I was never afraid of her. Soon after they fired Patty MORE cameras were installed EVERYWHERE. that was it for me. They had audio and video monitoring with this mounted remote control cameras that could zoom in and see everything you were doing or saying. I could see the need for quality control but the cameras were definitely because of the personal drama and I found them very intrusive. So I quit. That's just the tip of the iceburg......so as you can see......STAY AWAY FROM TELA-HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!
