Hi,my name is john,I recently financed a 1994 ford truck thru tempo auto sales/JMAC financing.I have all reciepts up to date.

On march 2,2004 my fiancee went to make our two week payment,she was told by Bill from Tempo auto sales that there was a repo order on my truck.It was then my fiancee told Bill that she would go and get all our reiepts showing payments were paid in full and up to date.At this time Bill with tempo auto sales asks her if she has time that she could go thru his files and pull out all his copies of our reciepts and he would fax all the reciepts to Sherry at their finance company,JMAC financing.

My fiancee goes thru all their reciept books and gets out all of our payment reciepts all of them were in his files up to date.

Bill with tempo auto at this time faxes all reciepts to Sherry at JMAC FINANCING Dickson Tn.Bill then tells Lisa(fiancee)that everything will be straightened out,Lisa pays our payment and finally after about an hour and a half she spent staightening out their mistake she leaves for work.Late for work.

On mar.15,2004 a repo man comes to my house to repo my truck,I inform him that i'm paid in full.He tells me to call Sherry with JMAC financing,I call Sherry shegets on the phone with me and is immediately very unpleasant with me,so I got unpleasant with her and told her she needed to get an easier job if she could not perform ner responsibilities adequitly.At this time she informs me that she not gonna pull off the repo and that there nothing I can do about it.Sherry told me to take them to court.There will be a court date but I cant really afford to hire a attorney.

On Mar.16,2004 Lisa goes to tempo auto to pay our 2 week payment and they refused to accept payment.My payment is not even due til the 17th of Mar..

It is also to my belief that there is a law that is called privacy act that Bill with tempo auto sales violated when he let Lisa go thru their records.She was able to see who had what financed,their payment,d.l.#,s.s.#,etc.

Sherry with JMAC financing is just mad because I told her to get a easier job that she could perform more responsibly.There is no law to my belief that says they can repo my truck because I made some lady mad at the finance company,especially when all payments are up to date,I have one due today 3/17/04 that they refused to accept.I also have my full coverage insurance that is also up to date.

Hello, I have been employed by JMAC Financial/Tempo Auto Sales for over 2 years and have been sent a copy of this Rip-off Report. I have been asked to reply. I am very busy, but after reading the report, I see several things that immediatly let me know that this whole thing is ridiculous, thus saving me the time I would have spent looking all this up. 1. Who has ever heard of any company that has ever let a customer "go through his files" for "about an hour and a half" to "staighten out" the company's mistakes. 2. The receipt books are sent to the finance office as soon as they are completed, usually about a week or so. They are never left at the lot. 3. As far as the privacy issue goes, all personal information on the customer is sent to the finance office. No paperwork remains at the lots except for a card with the customer's name and their account balance. If we repo a customer it is due to the fact that they have failed to make the payments on their vehicle. No one is happy when their vehicle is repo'd, however, that doesn't mean that it is anyone's fault but theirs for failing to fulfill their contract.
