Looking back at the calender, I show that Jan 14 was a Saturday night and you have no idea how busy saturday nights can get in the restaurant industry. First of all, call ahead seating does not eliminate your wait, it shortens it. God forbid you should have to wait a few minutes for a table on a saturday ninght. Second of all, did you notice the bar area? Bars get wrapped and double wrapped on saturdays with customers and it may have taken the bartender a few minutes to make your beer (and according to steps and times of service, servers have up to 3 minutes to get your drinks) Did you ever consider that the fry area in the restaurant could have been incredibly backed up at the moment and somebody may have not shown up to work that night, so they only have one guy working (and according to steps and times of services, appetizers are alloted 6-8 minutes). And I'd really like to meet a grown adult who doesn't know that eating carbs such as bread and butter and a cactus blossom will fill you up. And depending on how you got your steak cooked, it would've taken longer. You also ordered a sirloin, probably the worst cut of steak ever. It's notorious for being not as tender as a filet. Also, you probably microwaved your steak the next day which will had to the toughness. This is my challenge to you as a regular of the texas roadhouse. I've eaten there several times, my favorite server is Rachel (I liked her at first because we have the same name, I like her the most because she's amazing). I've eaten in other sections and will now refuse to sit in any section but hers because her service is that wonderful. Rachel is a college student who typically works friday thru tuesday and is occasionally in the smoking section. I challenge you to eat at texas roadhouse again and request to sit in her section (you may have to wait a little longer if you attend on a friday or saturday night to get into her section, but it's worth it). I also challenge you that if you wish, to order a better steak than a sirloin (I suggest the filet, it's more expensive but it's the most tender cut of steak ever). Before you decide to write off this steakhouse, attend one more time and dine with Rachel, don't tell her who you are (since I'm sure the roadhouse is aware of your report) and just see what you think. Contact me and let me know. Thank you CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.

Please understand that you cannot expect the restaurant to be responsible for how your steak tastes the next day. You were unable to eat it because you filled up on appetizers and bread beforehand. This is not their fault. Had you been able to eat the steak when it was brought to you, you would have had the option of sending it back if it was not cooked to your liking. I understand your frustration, but if we start holding restaurants responsible for the way leftovers taste the next day we are in for all sorts of trouble.

I went to Roadhouse, and it took 3 minutes to get my table! 3 Minutes!! How rude of them. I was hungry, you would think that they could be a little faster knowing that I was hungry, even the waitress said I looked hungry... it was obvious. Then the rolls came, and I ate them all and asked for more. Then the salad. Then the appetizers. Then the beers. Ate more rolls. All this time the waitress KNEW I wouldn't be able to eat my dinner. They brought me my steak anyway, can you belive that? When I told them I was too full to eat it, they had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to take it home. I couldn't belive it, if I wanted to order take-out, I would've called chicken-a-go-go or something. Then they had the audacity to bring me a CHECK! I will never go back there! Until I'm hungry again.... Stupid posts deserve stupid responses! lol

The Texas Roadhouse is a casual dining restaurant, and is a chain. I have found them to be above average in every respect. I have eaten several times at many locations in several states. I have never had a problem. I think the OP was confused about the first come, first served policy at the Texas Roadhouse. And, I think she just felt like being pissed off regardless of what happened after she had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Get over it. Stick to McDonalds.

I use to make my six year old granddaughter stop eating rolls because she didn't have the common sense to know it would spoil her dinner. A couple of minutes, how terrible for you. Depends on how you order your steak. When I BBQ steak, I undercook the part I know I'mm gonna take for lunch the next. It also depended on how you reheated the steak the next day, microwave?

The original poster here obviously thinks very highly of herself, just looking at her demanding views! First, what kind of person goes to TEXAS ROADHOUSE expecting a 5-star dining experience?! Who thinks that "calling ahead" is equivalent to making a reservation?! What kind of person blames the restaurant for losing her appetite because SHE ate the rolls that they were so generous to provide?! Methinks this person needs to venture out of her trailer park more often and see how things exist in the real world. Perhaps Texas Roadhouse is a bit too much for her to handle ... may I suggest something more suitable for her classless style, like Golden Corral??

Hello, I just came across your comment about this restaurant and thought it was a little harsh. I am actually a restaurant manager and those kind of things happen quite often when it is busy. First of all, they must have been really busy to not have seated you right away- you obviously have never worked in a restaurant. Second of all, you took your steak home and heated it up I'm sure. No wonder it wasn't good. Nothing's ever delicious heated up the next day. Third of all, I don't blame them for not sending you a gift card, like they want customer's like you. People like you are the kind that make are job a living nightmare. My point is, don't get so wound up over a couple things YOU didn't like. Your kind just cracks me up!
