When I moved into my home in Killeen Texas, I stated on the move-in inspection form that the base-boards in the home were stained with dust that had not been cleaned. I also stated that there were patched holes in the walls of three rooms and that the door stops behind several of the doors were gone.

When I moved out 13 months later, they attempted to charge me to have the base boards cleaned, charged me for the patched holes, and attempted to charge me $12.00 each for the door stops which were not present when I moved in. I scheduled an appointment with the manager to explain why I would not be paying for these charges and they said that they just had not read my move in form well enough.

This tells me that they most likely charge every tenant for the same items which they NEVER replace or they would have been there when I moved in. I am sure they charged the people before me for the same items. They then told me that they would be charging me $50.00 for a broiler pan that was not in the oven when I moved in!

Contact (254)699-8444 Contact phone #(254) 699-8444 Kristy seems not to agree with her move out inspection and closing statement. She made an appt and spoke with a manager (not myself). As she stated a correction was made. As for the broiler pan, if it was not noted on her inspection that she preformed, as she stated then I have no choice but to asses the charge to her and credit it to the Property OWNER not Texstar. As for being Lazy, well she is welcome to accompany the inspector on an Inspection, sit with him for the close out report, be present while any work is coordinated, sits with the closing processor while she complies and reviews the closing statements, notifies the property owner, cuts refund checks, and then starts the marketing process for the property again. That is just the move-out process, not move-in. Now do it about 75-90 times a month. It is insulting to the staff for her to even make that comment, especially after she followed the process and her issue was resolved.
