In Feb of this year, i visited a vet clinic in duncanville after my pet was closed in the garage door. They gave really poor service. I filled a complaint with the TVMA board but they said they could not do anything because it was customer service related and not vet medicine nature. So i let it go. Yesterday i saw on the clinics facebook page that they had posted a picture of me and wrote very negative things. They have me blocked however (after i wrote a review of the clinic) so i am not able to report the photo. I shared the link to my facebook page and many of my friends commented on the picture.

The vet himself replied and said i made racist comments. That never happened. He claimed to have security video but hasnt released it. Mainly because he knows he crossed a line branding me a racist when nothing of that nature was said. He continues to write nasty comments about me and will not take the picture down. He deletes any comments defending me and keeps the negative posts from his employees. I fear they will release my information and i could get retaliation from someone who thinks i am a crazy racist.

What initially happened was i got to the clinic at around 4:15pm that day. I told the receptionist that my cat had been closed in the garage door. She replied with "the doctor is leaving early today". I said okay, but can he see my cat? She again said he is leaving early and its 65 dollars for the fee. I said thats fine but can he please be seen. There was no signs posted on the door, counter and later when i checked the website about leaving early. They close at 6pm, it was a little after 4. She finally went to the back to ask the doctor, and the first thing she said was hes leaving early.

A few minutes went by and a young boy came out to get my cat. He is not a technician. On their website he is listed as an assistant. So he would not be trained to handle this case. A few minutes went by and the doctor came out and asked me to the exam room. He said he listened to the lungs and didnt feel any blood in the abdomen. I asked if he had taken an xray (you cant feel blood in the abdomen so i assumed he knew there was no blood because he had imaged my cat). He said he didnt not take an xray. I asked if he could, he said no he was leaving early to pick up his son but that i could make an appointment for tomorrow. I told him no, that this was an emergency and my cat needed to be treated now.

He said he could give him a steroid injection to make him comfortable. I declined and went up front with my cat. The receptionist said it would be 45 (instead of the original quoted 65). I told her i would not be paying. She said i had seen the doctor and needed to pay for the exam. I said no, that was not what i call seeing a doctor and no diagnostics were performed. She said i needed to pay and that i was told he was leaving early. I told her this was an emergency situation and it was not being handled. She replied with- we are not an emergency clinic. I said i know that but you are a vet hospital and have an obligation to treat patients.

By that time the vet had come to the front desk and told me to leave. The receptionist started laughing. I asked if she thought my pet being injured was funny. She continued to giggle. I told her that i hope someone shows her the same compassion and care that she has shown me when her pet gets injured. The vet had come around the corner and pushed me to the door then locked it. I rushed to a clinic down the street who took care of him and they were wonderful. I have the records from the second clinic where they took xrays and performed a physical exam. The first clinic didnt even write anything down, if they actually even took a temperature or pulse.

Honestly im at my witts end. I didnt do anything wrong but he is just bashing me publicly. I shouldnt have to jump through hoops to have a picture taken down but i do. No one seems to care enough to help me. Im being branded a racist... i dont understand why he is so angry that he wants to ruin my life, because thats what he is trying to do. I would love for him to release the video he claims he has. It would show how they treated me and that i never said anything horrible like the claim. Please help me!

I should also mention that i am a registered vet tech and i work for an emergency hospital. Unfortunately i live 45 minutes from it and it was rush hour, so i couldn't make it to that clinic that day. I know enough about vet med at this point to know i reacted how every scared pet parents does and that the care they said they gave- wasnt there.
