Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I bought  blinds from the blind shack for my entire home a year ago. Since then I have had 2 very expensive ones malfunction and break.  The response I got back from them was totally useless and in fact I was given "the royal run around" by all service and sales alike.

I filed a BBB report, as many others have done with this company. The blind shack let this BBB complaint ride out to the max until he basically pisses them and the customer off.  I also learned that other sites have several complaints, exactly the same issues that i had with him, all over the web sites that gather this info......

Recently a third blind is giving me problems and I know from past experience, it also will soon break. I want to NEVER speak with this sick man again and hoping you can help.  It has cost me 300.00 to replace what he installed and soon the other blind will break for another 150.00. I want a total refund for 450.00.

It probably wont happen that is unless you have a warrenty. If you have a warrenty you will need to go through the warrenty redemption process. To demand a refund a year AFTER your purchase is wrong. The company that sold you these blinds are NOT the ones using them. Once installed and once the return period has elapsed, there is NOTHING they can do for you LEGALLY. Yes we ALL understand that YOU spent money on these blinds. But their legal obligations end after normally 30 days. If your ACTUALLY complaining about the wrokmanship or quality of the blinds, then you will have to contact the manufacturer of the blinds and have them send out an inspector so it can be proven one way or the other that it is a manufacturing defect and NOT from misuse.

FYI: IF this is a actual problem, the manufacturer SHOULD be able to take care of the issue. But if its found out that its NOT a manufacturing defect and it IS customer wear and tear then you are on your own. Posting a complaint on a site dedicated to help consumers resolve their issues BEFORE any inspection is done MAY hurt you later. As these companies tend to not look favorably on consumers who either LIE or use the web to make false reports. The American Consumer is GREAT at playing the victim. These businesses KNOW THIS!! So try and keep your conversations businesslike and dont let emotion make you run your mouth. That wont get your issue reolved.

Realisticly I dont see you getting a REFUND. Im thinking that if they are going to do anything it will be a repair or MAYBE a replacment. But thats IF its found to be a manufacturing defect. As you have had them for atleast a year and they were working, one can safely assume that they were damaged DURING regular use. If that is the case they wont do anything for you and instruct you to take better care of your toys.
