The Furniture Mall The Furniture Mall delivered our table brokened and the coloring of the fake wood and design of the material was not matching. Kennesaw Georgia
My husband and I were at The Furniture Mall in Kennesaw, GA on 11/5/15 and purchased a dining room set and server.
We had no complaints with the salesman, Michael or the receptionist, Ms Taylor. We realize they're only employees.
Our complaint is with the stores cancellation policy. When we received the furniture on Sunday 11/8/15, the furniture I fell in love with was not what I or my husband expected.
The pedestal was broken so they put togehter the chairs and left the table prompted up against the wall. We never received the server.
When my husband and I looked at the furniture we noticed the different colors of the imitation wood on every chair. We also noticed the design of the fabric was mismatched. One chair in particular had a gold coating on one arm but not the other and it was the same at the feet of the chairs.
We decided we did not want it and when we saw the broken pedestal and saw it wasn't real wood, like the salesman told my husband, we didn't think it was worth $3500. So we asked for the set to be picked up.
We believe we should receive a full refund because we had never seen the merchadise. A full refund should be given if you choose to cancel within 48 hours from the time of delivery not the time of sale.
We believe they make it a point to deliver your furniture after the 49 hour cancellation window has expired.
We requested delivery the next day but they said they could not deliver it the next day. This would have put us within the 48 hour cancellation window.
Now we are responsible for a 20% restocking fee and 3.5% transaction fee which we don't think we should be responible for. We closed our account with Synchrony Financial and we will not be shopping at any Furniture Mall stores ever again.
